I have tried many thyroid medications for my Hashimoto's, and I've never felt well until I switched to Tirosint. The important thing to remember is that this medication is about 25% more potent than an equivalent dose of, say, Synthroid or Levothroid. For example, 50 mcg of Tirosint would be equivalent to about 62.5 mcg of Levothroid. Keep this in mind before switching or you might end up taking t...

The first week everything seemed fine but the second week my hands and feet began to swell. I also experienced tingling and stinging sensations in my hands and feet. My feet also felt hot and I could barely fit into my shoes. I regularly exercise at the gym - including running on the treadmill, but this side effect made running impossible as my feet felt like bricks. I have stopped the medication and two weeks later I am better but still have slight sensations of tingling and numbness.

Didn't give me heartburn, but gave me such severe screaming pain in every muscle of my body, it's been like hospital screaming pain. Every muscle, deep pain, total agony and my lower back feels broken. If you are sensitive to meds, you might want to rethink trying this one.
