I feel this generic version is useless. Tax and Gianvi were great. Unbelievable.

If you value your sanity, run! In a week and a half this pill managed to turn me into a complete crazy person covered in cystic acne! All I wanted to do was eat, sleep and cry. After a week and a half of misery and embarrassment from the worst acne ever, I called my doctor and she changed me immediately to beyaz. Hopefully, my experience with beyaz will be much more pleasant.

I used to take Gianvi and was very happy with it. Recently my insurance switched me to Loryna. I have been taking it for 3 months and I have gained 6-8 lbs, even though i have been eating better and working out more than i did before i started the drug. SWITCHING TOMORROW AND I CANT WAIT!!

the worst birthcontrol i have ever used. i have gained about 8 pounds, have had breakouts around my chin area (and im talking about noticable nasty zits), crazy mood swings and i have skipped my period for two months but im not pregnant. so it will leave you guessing when your next period will be and along with that you still get horrible cramps and bloating at random times during your cycle.

While it seems to be an effective form of birth control, as the other reviewers have said, it has given me mood swings, acne, and made me feel generally bad. I was on yaz then gianvi for over a year with no issues. It took no more than a week taking Loryna for these side effects to kick in. I do feel better knowing i'm not the only one!

I was on Yaz for a couple of years and was completely satisfied. When Gianvi became available, I tried it and felt even better. A few months ago my mail order pharmacy switched me to Loryna, and now I feel terrible. I have been experiencing moodiness (an understatement!), fatigue, breakouts, and cramps. My period is starting several days earlier than it should and is now very heavy. I have been fighting with my pharmacy for a week to get them to send me Gianvi again. I hope things go back to normal when I get back on Gianvi.Read More Read Less

I have had more headaches, migraines, pimples, mood swings, depression since being on this medication for almost three months. I was on Yasmin before and it worked wonderfully. I would rather not be on birth control at all than be on Loryna!

I am so glad I read these reviews! After being happily on YAZ for a year, my doctor put me on this, saying it was the same. It is not! My chin has been breaking out, I have cramps during the middle of my cycle, I'm emotional, and gained a few pounds. After reading thay almost everyone else has gad similar problems, I am quitting immediately. I just hope it doesnt take too long to get out of my system. Sigh.

My doctor took me off Loryna after the first pack because my blood pressure increased dramatically. It worked well to control my period (I have menorrhagia) but unfortunately the spike in blood pressure was a showstopper. I have to continue to monitor my blood pressure at home daily until it comes back down to normal.

I was on Gianvi for awhile to reduce my heavy flow and control acne and was happy with Gianvi. My mail order pharmacy switched my refill order to Loryna without notifying me and for 2 months now, I have been having bleeding and having blood clots while on the pill and have experienced weight gain.

I was taking Yaz for a year and was switched to Gianvi which was fine and got lighter periods regularly. Since being switched to Loryna I have missed at least 3 or 4 periods in the past couple months, not pregnant, so it's doing its job.. But like everyone else said weight gain and loss in sex drive. I don't recommend it unless you're fine with guessing when your next period will be!

I was on Yaz and then Gianvi with no issues. My insurance refilled my perscription with Loryna without notifying me. I took it and since then have gained weight, alot of spotting and had breakouts. I have been on the same workout(5x a week) and eating since before so the weight gain is completely unexplained. Also, never had issues with the spotting and cramps before. I will be switching ASAP.

I took Yaz with no troubles at all. Then I used Gianvi(no problems with that either) until my pharmacy stopped carrying it and changed to Loryna only. I took it for 3 months and it was terrible. I had break through bleeding starting in the middle of the month that continued intermittently until my period started and it always came 4-5 days before my pack of pills had even run out. Do NOT recommend this drug at all.

Yes, I am not pregnant, and my moods haven't gotten worse or better or bad acne, however, my sex drive is absolutely zero! It's very frustrating when my boyfriend is in the mood and I'm not when I was before. We used to do it alot and now we almost never do.

Well I am not pregnant, so it was effective in that aspect. However, I have gained close to 10 pounds in about 6 months.

I was on Gianvi and was switched to Loryna by my pharmacy. The first month of taking this pill was ok. I had a breakout on my forehead but nothing to be concerned about. The second month was a different story! I had break through bleeding the entire 28 days, my face began to breakout really bad and I was also an emotional wreck! It was as if I couldn't function in the real world. I decided to stop taking this bc and instantly felt better. The only thing is, I'm now struggling with acne even after being off this bc for about a month. I personally wasn't happy with the use of this bc but hey everyone's body is different and it may work just fine for the next person. Read More Read Less

I have gotten the worst back acne! The two biggest pimples I have ever had on my back. They are so painful and I am terrified of scarring. In addition to my back acne, my face has broken out with enormous zits. The most zits I have ever had on my face (I am 32 years old). Do not take this medicine!

Worst birth control pill ever! I've been on the pill for over 4 years with no problems (with yaz and giavni). Last month I got switched to Loryna and it has given me the worst breast pain with no relief even with ice, heat, anti-inflamitories, changing position, type of bra, etc. Called the doctor for the second time to switch back.

I started this to clear up moderate acne that I have dealt with for almost 5 years now. The first week I broke out horribly and it continued. I'm on my eighth week now and it hasn't cleared up any but has gotten worse, I now have painful cysts all over my face.
