I had my first Injectafer infusion today, and it wasn't bad at all. I had some weird tingling when the Injectafer was going in and my hand ached a little, but it was over in 20 minutes. It was definitely worth it to feel better. FYI, it can raise your blood pressure but it lowered mine a little. Had a small dizzy moment then it was gone. A BP check showed a small drop in my BP. Don't be scared to ...

I normally get Venifar and have no issues, but this go around was injectifer which has made me feel worse than the iron definancy. I thought it may have been the 25mg of benadryl but day after I couldn't get out of bed and when I did I was weak and over come with exhaustion. For me who is a go go go woman this has been concerning. I have one more does next week and concerned another day or 2 of exstreme exhaustion that I dont have time or patience for. We are sposed to get better not feel worse.Side effects dont say extreme exhaustion.I really don't want dose 2. I will demand center next time.Read More Read Less

After the extreme fatigue. shortness of breath, memory loss for IDA, I found the process easy and welcomed the ease if administration. Guys, my Doctor, gave me solu-cortef for possible reactions and pepcid for any GI symptoms. I have had no adverse effects with these precations. Slsi, eat before you go, and plan to rest that day. Bless you all.

I had my first dose of Injectafer yesterday. About 2 hours after the injection, I started to feel really tired. It was about 5pm. I laid down and took a 3-hour nap. I never nap - ever. I woke up for a little then slept for 9 hours that night. It honestly felt like I was drugged. Things like phone calls happened shortly after the injection and I knew they were going on but until reminded about them 24 hours later, I had forgotten. Like I was in a daze for 18 hours after the injection. So strange. Read More Read Less

I had my first Injectifer infusion three days ago and did not have any side effects. My doctor told me that it could take two or three weeks after my second infusion to start feeling better. My major complaints as a result of having IDA are fast heartbeat and fatigue. My healthcare team thinks Injectifer may help with these symptoms over time.

I am anemic /iron deficient. I believe this is causing my severe 'RLS -restless leg syndrom'. I did two sessions of the injectafer, last one a week ago. Doc said it could take a month for the iron store to build up in my body so I can't really rate the effectiveness yet. I can say that I did not have a bad reaction like some other reviewers mentioned. I'm hoping when i have blood work done in a few weeks that my ferritin levels are over 100

I have taken venifer in the past with no side effects. I am under a new drs care and he recommended Injectafer as a drug that would require less time, visits and would last longer. My first treatment went fine until it was time to go. I got nauseous. I stood up and was dizzy. The nurse gave me compazine and had me rest for a while. I was sick all week with headaches and vomiting. I also felt more weak if that was possible. Today was second infusion. They started with IV zofran. This time no nausea. On the way home headache came. Tonight was major nausea. I don't feel tired. The nurse said its rare to have a reaction from this drug. This site validates how I feel. I retest my blood in 1 month.Read More Read Less

Has anyone had any foot pain? Im am almost a couple of months out feom my 2 infusions and for the past few weeks my feet hurt. Particularly the padding of my feet below my toes. Its a pain as if I have walked in unsupportive shoes. It will not completely go away and is bothersome.

Had my first injection today, I have zero headache or joint pain. I do take an anti-histamine daily and another reviewer mentioned that alleviated some of their symptoms. Overall the process was painless, it hurt worse to get the blood drawn to figure out I was anemic. I am worried about the brown staining, I'll update my review if that happens.

Got my first injection today. I'm so sick I can't sit up. My back, knees and abdomin hurt so bad I cry. I'm nauseous and have a headache. I can't eat. The abdominal cramps are the worst I've ever had. They told me to take Tylenol, Claritin, Benadryl and Zertec all at once.. and if I don't feel better go to ER.. I'm at a loss.

I have been getting injectafer injections about three times a year for several years. After the last injection while sleeping,I got terrible chest and back pains. I was very close to calling EMS. The following day I called the office. The RN suggested that I take Antihistamine (an common allergy relief). It worked! I will check with the office on Monday and see about taking it just before the injection. Everyone is different. Check this first with your health care provider. Good Luck!

I had my first infusion last week and I had no side effects, during or after. Trust me... I was so nervous after reading the reviews here, but my experience was uneventful. I told my nurse how scared I was and she said they hadn't had one person who had a negative reaction from Injectafer, but with the older types of iron infusuions they did. It took one hour for the IV. I return for my second infusion next week and my iron will be retested in six weeks.

Since treatment I've been feeling really bad, 2 ER visits, 1admitt.side effects to me are not worth it. Headaches, stomachache, pain in joints, now fluid retention. My health is worst than before I took it. Can't shake off these side effects. I was told it takes 3/4 was before I'll feel better. My life is now at doctors and bedroom.

The process of getting the infusion was not bad at all. The only complaint is the abdominal cramps that lasted a few days afterward.

It he only side effect was a brain freeze type headache for a few hours but I can't be sure it was from the infusion. So far I feel much better and I have more energy. I'm no longer dizzy when I stand up.
