Due to chronic pain, I have been using this patch for several weeks now, and it has helped me tremendously deal witht he never ending pain I deal with day in and day out. In the past I have had injections to relieve pain, and I was sceptical about this treatment but it works for me.

I was getting Lidoderm through my hmo and it was very effective (I cut the patches in quarters to treat/numb the painful neuroma on the palm of my hand and even so, I got definite relief). My problem now - which I suppose has no solution - is that a 3-month supply has gone from $65 to $800! Now they have me on a cream which I've researched and found it's actually hemorrhoid cream. Those of you who have access to Lidoderm, enjoy it and count yourself lucky...

These patches do not take all my pain away, but they sure help to take the edge off & allow me to function much, & I am truly thankful for my pain management Doctor for allowing me to use the better. Now they come in a generic made by Watson Lab Salt Lake City, this such help many, many more people.

I spent two weeks with my back pain. After using Lidoderm for the first time. I was amazed. I can stand up without the pain. Thank you.

It's great to hear that so many people find this pain patch effective. I have chronic muscle spasms in me thoracic and lumber spine... this patch does nothing to relieve my pain. I hope to find something topical that helps someday. Until then, it's the "opiate" pill. Any suggestions out there? :(

My doctor ordered Lidoderm patches for me after injecting my knee joint due to arthritis. I was told I could cut the patches and this works on the knee. Half of one covers my knee well. The directions say only to wear it 12 hours. I wear it at night because I'm very active in the daytime. It has given me wonderful relief from the constant pain I was having before taking it and getting the injection. It has helped relieve the extreme soreness and I can walk good now without pain. But..do to the nature of arthritis, I'm sure the pain will eventually come back again. I would highly recommend these patches.Read More Read Less

It takes the edge off of the pain and allows who to work throughout the day without unwanted side effects of oral pain meds. Only con is it peels off too easily so make sure you place medical tape over the edges to keep it on.

I use the patch for chronic intractable low back pain which I have had for 30+ years. Helps me not to rely on oral pain medications as much. My insurance does not cover it for this reason but I purchase it anyway for the excellent relief it does give me.

My doctor keeps prescribing these things for me. I must be the 1 in a million that these patches don't work on. I've told him the don't work and he keeps insisting that they are clinically proven. That's all well and good, but when a product doesn't work and it's expensive to boot, the doctor should listen to patient and find something that does work. On top of that, the adhesive is weak, they are cold, slimy and uncomfortable. Nix, nuh-uh, no. I don't like them.

I have bilateral knee pain and the patches are very helpful in relieving the most intense pain. I have used them for several years and they are very good. The fact that I can cut them to size is helpful as it saves me money.

prescribed today for bursitis and tendonosis in butt and hp, iliopsoas area. My doctor warned me it may not work because my pain is about 2"-3" deep. When in pain I think we'll try anything. It didn't do a thing. No side effects though.

Arthuritis is my problem which extends to heels of my feet. Putting the patch on my back and a pain pill makes me good for almost all day. But, I am only allowed 12 hrs a day to wear it, and that I do. I see on here people wear it at night. So is there a time limit on how long to wear the patch, but in my case, do I want to feel better in daytime or sleep at night? Do the patients in here have a time limit on their prescription and do they ever save and use the patch over the next day. Just wondering since they are so expensive and also wondering how many hours a patch works? Would rather see patient reviews that drug company reviews. Patients know the answers.Read More Read Less

My doctor prescribed this after I developed back problems following a car accident; since I broke my tailbone two years previous that's where my pain was worse. I took off after eight hours, I was extremely hot all night and had very vivid nightmares. I'm going to try again during the day and hope I don't have the nightmares again.
