This drug has been effective, but left my knees feeling full, if that makes sense. I still can't kneel on them yet. I guess the pain is less, but now I'm getting other pain under my knee caps. So the jury is still out for me. I'd take anything - just trying to prolong replacements.

I HAVE ONE MORE SHOT TO COMPLETE THE 5 THAT WERE SUGG BY MY SURGEON. UNDERGOING DEPRESSION. I AM 40YRS OLD AND FEEL 70. I CANT WALK. EVEN SLEPPING AT NIGHT IS HORRIBLE. I HAVE CONSTANT PAIN, SADLY MORE THEN BEFORE I STARTED THE "TREATMENT". I WOULD NEVER RECOMM IT TO ANYONE. I AM USING A WALKER TO HELP SUPPORT MY STEPS, TOTAL MESS. THE INJECTIONS ARE VERY PAINFUL.I WISH I HAD NEVER HAD THEM DONE.

I have been receiving Supartz injections for 3 years and each (set of 3 injections) has been effective for 11-13 months. There is a knee replacement in my future but this drug has allowed me to postpone a major surgery.

very effective, I'm happy with it ...unfortunately the hospital where i got the treatment from took it off their formulary to the dismay of my provider and majority of is patients. Only the administration knows the reason for taking it off ignoring the fact that it helps regain people's lives and buys time before subjecting to major replacement surgeries.

40 years of running and 2 knee surgeries. I am 70 years old and was with constant knee pain. Had both knees injected. Pain relief after first injection and additional relief with each additional injection. I am not totally pain free but ~80-85% improvement. 2-months since 5th and final injection and all remains okay. Weekly injections took only minutes and no pain. I had no side effects. Hoping injections will last a year or more and definitely will re-do.

I felt some relief with the first injection, although I was told to not expect immediate relief. When I had completed the series, I was able to walk naturally, didn't feel like I was going to fall over, and asable to go up and down stairs without pain.

I'm very pleased with the relief I've gotten from these injections. And will continue to get them as long as they give me this level of relief.

19 years ago I suffered from a Knee Dislocation. There was a lot of damage. I've had 2 knee arthroscopies. The most recent a year ago. They have been successful. Unfortunately it won't stop the OA which has started to cause great pain. I had my first injection today and I am afraid it's to good to be true. I am free of pain as of now. Fingers crossed.

I've had Supartz injections about once per year for 4 years. I have arthritis resulting from an ACL repair in 1984. I have been very happy with the results. For me, they last 9-12 months. The first time I got it, I felt relief after the 2nd injection. The last time relief came 4-6 weeks after the last injection. Relief is equal to taking an Aleve, but it lasts for almost a year. My results are on the better side of clinical study in which about 60% of the patients got relief, lasting for 3-12 months. I highly recommend giving Supartz a shot for osteoarthritis in the knee.Read More Read Less

having had 5 treatments in 3 years, this seems to work well for me. This last treatment I am having some side effects, headache and diarrhea that lasted 3-4 days. not sure if this is related but it happened after all 3 shots

I have not cartilage in my right knee with grinding. After one injection (a course of 5 is what I had) I noticed relief.

I had three injections and since I was relieved of the pain my Dr said I didn't need the other two. It has been seven months since I had the first one and I haven't had any pain. I think it has a lot to do with the Dr that gives them and his knowledge of the right way to give the injections. A friend also had the injections and has been pain free for over two years. Make sure your Dr is qualified to give them.

I was scheduled for three injections due to cartilage loss in my right knee. After the third injection, I have felt marked improvement in knee mobility and a significant reduction in knee pain, in just over a week, from the final injection. I look forward to resuming a normal lifestyle as well as future knee injections.

I have had three injections thus far with absolutely no pain relief. My knee hurts even more. I had total knee replacement on the right knee three years ago. I know the left knee needs it done, too, but I was hoping to delay it as long as possible. Supartz is not the answer for me. After the fifth injection is done I won't do it again! Not worth my time, money nor my frustration

Supartz Intra-Articular GENERIC NAME(S): HYALURONATE SODIUM I received the 5 injections. I have been treated for breast cancer for several years. Recently, I read a warning that HYALURATE should not be given to patients with cancer. During my 5 injections the live cancer cells in my blood tests jumped from a normal 31 to 60 to 90. Be careful

Had 5 injections of the course of 5 weeks. First 3 injections were not too bad, but the last 2, horrible. The injection itself was becoming unbearable, this was probably due to all the injections in the exact same spot. At around week 4, started having pain in the back of my legs. Dr. said this was due to walking more naturally. Pain starts in the thigh and runs down to calf. Knee now swells to twice it's size, requiring lots of ice.

I am 67 yrs old and have been using supartz injections for 10 years. Several doctors wanted to replace my knees and I did not want surgery. At first it was every 6 mos since I did a lot of standing at my job. As time progressed it was longer and longer between shots. Once it was 30 mos but I should have not gone that long. Breakdown was horrible. I started them again 30 mos ago and the first 2 times it was a 6 mo. span. Then 8 mos. This time it has been 10 mos. The only time they will hurt is if I shop all day or climb a lot out hiking.Read More Read Less

Bone on bone and am putting off knee surgery as long as possible. Had 3 injections one week apart and had very good results starting after second injection which has lasted almost 11 months. Contemplating the injections again.
