I have been on this cream for 8 months. I suffered from acne but now they are completely gone. It is a strong drying cream so use it twice per week if u are just starting with this cream. I see a dermatologist every 2 to 3 weeks and I'm so happy with this cream. I'm already 40 yrs old so not only does it help with acne it helps with fine lines as well. Per my dermatologist my daughter also uses th...

After apply this to my face for 2 years every night I slowly got headaches, tinitius, dizziness & to top it off I had double vision for a month straight. This caused so much cranial pressure. Please console with a doctor before using this product.

i have only been using this for a week but i can definitely already see an improvement in my acne. my face has gotten clearer and smoother. however, my face is peeling, red, and very irritated by simple things such as my face wash and aloe lotion. i have gotten little red patches on my face as well, but i will continue use and see if it will surpass soon.

I've had acne all my life. Looking forward to leaving the acne period behind me, I am now in my 50's and my acne seems just as bad. When I was first prescribed this drug I only used it as a "spot" treatment...and it worked even though I wasn't using it as my doctor had advised. So the next time I visited my dermatologist she explained the benefits of using a "pea" size of the medication all over my face twice a day and not just as a spot treatment. WHY hadn't I listened to her the first time. Although using it as a spot treatment worked!as I could see overnight how the medication nearly cleared up my skin from surfacing pimples, using it all over as prescribed has given me an even skin tone, soft and clear of acne and basically a new layer of skin without the huge cost of what a skin peel would do. YES, you do have redness, YES, you do have peeling, but as explained by my doctor after about 4 - 6 weeks, that will subside. I guess the first time I wasn't willing to stick out the 4-6 weeks but I'm SO glad I did. She also explained this would act like a much less painless chemical peel and instead of intense pain for a week, it would be a lot less pain in 4 -6 weeks. Again, she was right. Uh! Why didn't I listen the first time. I'm just glad she explained the side affects because I too would've probably stopped hadn't I been made aware. So for all of those people saying DON'T use this drug, I say just stick with it, you'll be happy with the results.Read More Read Less

I suffer from cystic acne and black heads along with the occasional white heads. I've tried just about everything to help clear my skin and nothing is working my Dermatologist told me this is the last resort besides going on birth control, which makes me severely ill (I've tried all different bands and strengths). There has to be something that works better than burning off my skin while still having inflamed red pimples all over my face. This medication just burns the layers off your skin to try and bring out the pimples and try them out but it just doesn't work for me. Id much rather have pimples under my skin than burn my entire face off trying to get them out. I dont think this product should be used for long periods of time it could possibly end up causing other issues with. I only use this medication at bed time every 3 days because of the skin irritability this was approved by my Dr. as well since my skin was so irritated by this. I don't think this is a medication that can be advertised for cystic acne clients. Read More Read Less

At first it makes your skin pretty red and sensitive. You'll get a "dry skin beard" the first few weeks after wearing it overnight. But I love the results I've had just after 1 month. Just remember it'll probably get worse before it gets better but it's great. My skin is looking itself after having a few bad months of hormonal breakouts! Good luck, great product.

I had very bad acne as a teen and in my 20's. By the time I was in my 40's my face showed years of acne problems and I had to use lots of makeup to cover it. It was hard keeping my head up and feeling good about myself. I avoided cosmetic counters with a passion knowing that sales people would be looking closely at my skin. I started using medication and my face got much worse. But it was clearing out years of dirt/acne trapped under my skin that other products couldn't. I stuck with it and after a couple months I could see a huge difference. I didn't need as much makeup. My face was getting smoother, hardly any breakouts. I kept using the medication over the years and have noticed fine wrinkles disappeared. One day, I was at the mall with my daughter and she wanted me to go into Sephora with her. I reluctantly did so. While inside, a customer came right up to me and said,"I really like your makeup. Your face looks so good. Can you show me which makeup you use?" I was stunned because I was only wearing a very light inexpensive makeup from the drugstore. After years of feeling so self conscious, I hadn't realized that I didn't need to anymore. My face looked great and the medication was working much more than I had originally planned that it would do. Now that I'm older, I use less and somewhat intermittently. Start slow, don't give up. It might get much, much worse before it gets better. Hang in there.Read More Read Less

I started using this product two years ago when my dermatologist recommended it, at first I didn't know that my skin would become rashy, red and extremely dry so I thought I was having an allergic reaction and stopped using it ,then upon a second visit to the doctor I was told that would happen for the first four to five months .i went back on the cream and the dry,red and painful skin continued for me it was like that for about three and a half months.but after going through many many bottles of sunscreen and moisturiser I was left with beautifully clear skin .i don't get a pimple unless I miss a few days of using the product mixed with hormones but for the most part its been and very clear past year and a half for my skin thx tretinoinRead More Read Less

I started using this cream when I was in the 8th grade. The first four months were terrible because it makes your skin so dry even if you moisturize. When I would smile, my skin would crack. I kept up with the cream though all of it though and my skin improved significantly. I'm a senior now and I only breakout mildly and rarely from hormones.

so far I've been using tretinoin 0.05% for about 20 day.. it has caused EXTREME redness on my chest, not so much on my back at all, but after that went away my skin has healed up very nicely. except for a few spots here and there that are in the process of healing too... I have suffered with acne on my chest and back very badly for 4 years (not so much on my face) and have tried many different acne washes, prescription creams, and pills and nothing really worked so I'm glad this has been doing good for my skin.Read More Read Less

Please know that there is an 'ugly period' for the first couple of weeks. This is your skin ridding itself of dirt and old skin. Stick to it. It's worth it! Started with .025% every night and redness around my mouth occurred. I skipped to application every other night and my skin is radiant. I don't break out before my period anymore. My wrinkles are minimalized and I look in my 20's......I'm almost 40.

I have been using this product for a month and so far it is very ineffective, it has made my skin a lot worse than it used to be, if you start using this product just beware it may take a while for it to start clearing. I really hope it starts to work for me, so far it has just made my skin disgusting and covered with breakouts!

My acne started when I was 26 yrs of age, about 3 years ago. I never had acne in my entire life until after mos.of giving birth it started popping out of my face. I have used lots of products but it will just keep coming back. Been to two dermatologist but no success. Until the last doctor I went to prescribed me this Tretinoin 0.025% , my life had completely changed. It healed all my blemishes and scars, my face seems to be looking normal now the way it used to be. I agree that 2-4 weeks of usage of this is worse. But you'll be surprised on its 7th week and so on of usage...Read More Read Less
