I use this drug for RLS. It has been very effective but also can make me very drowsy. I take it before bed because of that. Sometimes I feel like I have just been 'drugged' and can hardly function to get myself to bed, sometimes it doesn't make me sleepy at all! Strange. The other thing I have noticed is that if I wake up in the middle of the night I can't always get back to sleep. I haven't reall...

I have been on this pill for 1 week. I keep waking up it does not help my RLS. What I have found is that this medicine makes me paranoid that someone is breaking into my house or that I am going to die in my sleep. The first day I tried this drug it made me feel like I was floating out of my body. I will no longer take this drug anymore and I feel it would be in the best interest for the makers of...

I have to take twice a day. I'm sick to my stomach, then sleepy, then it works so hours out of my day I feel bad. Beats RLS though.

I take this for RLS. I started with 1mg and have gradually increased to 3mg daily. If I take it early evening (with dinner) there is no problem. If I forget or am out without it and the RLS starts, it takes anywhere from 1.5hrs to 2 hrs to kick in after I take it. It's best to take it the same time each day.

Was using Requip to treat RLS but Ins. made me start using other drugs as a generic. Now my doctor has given me Ropinirole 1mg., I hope this works just as good as Requip otherwise I can't stop moving and shaking.

Mild RLS about 6 mos. Neurologist prescribed Requip but ins. had changed to Ropinirole. 1 mg. daily works great; no sleep loss; no noticible side effects. Seems episodes begin earlier in day.

I have Essential Tremor in one hand, Requip seemed to help, my insurance will only pay for the generic Ropinirole. For 2 mos. I have been feeling sick to my stomach all day. The Dr. told me to cut back & take 1mg 3 times a day. I was still nauseated so I stopped moring & afternoon doses & only take it at bedtime. It isn't helping my tremor very much. I'd rather have the tremor than be sick to my stomach all day.

I thought it was the extra walking that was causing the pain in my calf muscles, I have taken requip for 3 years, but the dossage was increased about 3 months ago. Now I am having issues with my calfs when I sit at work, and also in the car if I have to drive or ride for more than 1 hour.

I liked Requip better. I am taking this for restless legs. When I started taking this medicine, I noticed an overall feeling of anxiety. My symptoms seemed to be worse. Isn't that what this is suppose to help treat?

I also switched to this from Mirapex (for restless leg syndrome)because of the price. It seems to work and make me very sick to my stomach. Capitalistic medicine sucks.

Husband took Requip for 3 years with no problems. Prescription plan raised price to over $350 per 3 month supply - but offered generic for $40 co-pay. Within 2 weeks, developed constant severe tremors and cramping in left arm. Restarted old Requip meds and problems disappeared. Movement disorder specialist changed medication to Requip XL. Now only take XL once a day and works wonderfully. No more sleepiness either.

I tried Ropinirole after reading about it in National Enquirer, June 2. '08. I was prescribed Requip, by my doctor. Very expensive and knocked me out immediately after taking, but enjoyed not having legs twitch all night. I then tried Mirapex Tab0.5MG. It worked the same way as Requip, but $20.00 cheaper. The Ropinirole Tab 0.5MG, had opposite effects on me. I twitched all night, couldn't sleep at all. Had to pee every hour. I can't understand what happened. After four nights of twitching and peeing, and no sleep, I got back of my Mirapex Tab 0.5Mg It still knocks me out, I mean I get sleepy immediately after taking.Read More Read Less
