Works somewhat better than Lithium but the weight gain is terrifying and tired all the time.

I first went on seroquel when it was released around the year 2000. Since then I've tried other atypicals and have just found that it is best. I do not have the drowiness that some report and I am on the max FDA does (800 mg). The weight gain has been hard for my family and I, but is not a major problem. So far my blood sugar levels have beeb stable which is also a concern for some.

I have been taking this for 2 months now. I also take Wellbutrin, the mixture has made my depression go away, but it also has caused me not to sleep well. I sleep about 3 hrs a night.

I have severe Bipolar disorder with Schizophrenia aspects. This med has allowed me to function in both my workplace and personal life. I no longer have delusions or hear voices. This med does take a few weeks to start working. It is far better than my previous main meds over the last 20 years which included Depakote and Lithium. I would recommend this med to anyone who has had mixed results with other meds.
