Well i was down with the flu for two weeks strep and the broncids so I was very sick!!!I love this med for lots of different reasons, It helped me sleep whrn I was very sick thats a big plus for me,I did the jod that all the over the counter stuff we got did not, and last but not least it help me get well and thst the key for me!!!!On the down side Get the pill the liquid tast like CASTOIL!!!!!

I have asthma, and when I catch a cold it turns into bronchitis and then pneumonia. this medicine allows me to rest better, breathe deeper, and relaxes the cough reflex. I do not really get very drowsy with this med, unless I am running a fever. My doctor has been fully aware of my medical condition, and does not hesitate to prescribe this for me. Taken as directed, it is very effective.

This drug effectively calms a cough and relieves congestion. I have been using it from asthma and sinus symptoms off and on for some time and it always does the trick. One must be careful to avoid addiction though.

I am on my second bottle of tussionex and I am still coughing. It just makes me sleepy.

My bronchitis turned into condition-induced asthma, and it was impossible to sleep without coughing to the point of choking and gasping at times. This not only stopped the cough, but allowed my lungs to rest and heal, and let me get some much needed sleep. I have two very young children, however, so I have to be careful and make sure my hubby is fully aware that I am about to be "out of it" when I take it so he can keep a watchful eye on the kids.

I have COPD and chronic bronchitis. This is the only cough preperation that has ever worked for me. It is a miracle in a bottle.

i have copd and sarcoids, and an intolerable cough, the doc prescribed me a small dose of this, and it worked wonders. i needed more to treat my symptoms and he became so paranoid about addiction,he wouldnt prescribe it again, really sucks bc the people who abuse these remedies make it impossible to seek treatment from doctors. wih it was available otc

The girls at the pharmacy told me this stuff was MUCH more effective than anything I could buy over the counter. They cautioned me if I had children at home to wait until bedtime to take it. I am glad my daughter is 16 and didn't need my full attention. It wiped me out, and I had trouble keeping my eyes open for more than ten minutes at a time. It is VERY strong, and stays in my system for at least the FULL twelve hours prescribed. Good stuff, but strong for me.

Having had suffered from Chronic Bronchitis, off and on all my life, this is the first cough medicine that actually works!

however after 5 days of using the medication I experienced painly constipation.

This is one of the few cough syrups that actually work.

Im not very happy with this medicine... Have had a chronic cough for months, and the doctor has given me this a few times. Dont really help.
