I was suffering acutely from a UTI. I waited until I thought I couldn't take it any more to seek treatment. My blood pressure was high due to the pain. Within a half hour of taking the medication I felt so much more relaxed. My blood pressure lowered. Within a day, the urgency to urinate constantly subsided. It turns urine a bluish green color which was actually comforting to me as I felt li...

This medication is horrible. Four days after I was taking the medication, I started with rectal bleeding. In March I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. I believe that this medicine caused this problem because I was fine before that.

Urelle has been a life saver. Way better than Pyridium. The blue stains are lighter and easier to get out than the orange you get from Pyridium.

I had laser laproscopy on the 22nd of October. Have been having problems with pain during urination. The nurse things it could be a bladder infection but that hasn't been confirmed pending the results of a urinalysis. First time urinatine after taking my first dose, I got back into my office then realized I wasn't in severe pain! I'm pleased... but now I see you're not suppose to take this medication if you have an irregular heart beat or high blood pressure. Well I have the irregular heart beet and my pressure has been a little off lately, took medication 2 hour and 45 minutes ago but feel fine. If you think it is dangerous for me to take this please reply!!!Read More Read Less

This medication gives relief to symptoms. I don't like the staining, especially inside the toilet. There is a "blue ring" aroun the waline that is almost impossible to remove. I have to use Clorox and a scrub brush daily. The urologist said he never had such a complaint before.

Surprised how expensive and not FDA approved. Took for 5 days appeared to help at first then didn't. Took 4 times/day and urine was blue/green. On 6th day urine was yellow and took morning & noon then stopped - urine remained yellow until the following night then became blue/green and was still green for 2 1/2 days after stopping. Concerned about how long it remains in system I tried to look up info in the usual drug sites and could not find it listed so I contacted the FDA and was informed it was not FDA approved so there are no clinical trials and they did not have any info but was able to locate info on this site. Urelle has fewer side effects than Piridium. The only side effect was the blue urine. However, on about day 7, the urine was not blue. I hope this is not a bad sign.

i was prescribed this drug for chronic bladder irritation after a UTI. i have been taking it for two months, and i feel almost symptom free! every day i take it i feel better. the only thing i do not like is the blue urine, but i'll take that over pain and bladder spasms any day! i sleep better, i feel better- its an expensive medicine, but quite effective for my condition.

I was suffering from bladder spasms, and was in extreme pain my urologist prescribed this for the spasms, side effects are low, expect urine color change. I tried other products like Azotine, which made me sick to my stomach. This is easy to swallow without the unpleasant taste of azotine.

I have Interstitial Cystitis. This is the only thing that I can take to ease the pain of urination whenever my IC flares. I recommend it heartily.

I had a kidney stone removed and a stent placed. The doctor prescribed Urelle for the bladder spasms caused by the stent. While Urelle has done an excellent job of relieving the spasms, I experienced a few of the side effects. Some of them were blue urine, irritation of the stomach, frequent urination, drowsiness, low energy, felt like throwing up, and weakness. These were a satisfactory trade-off to be free of the bladder spasms.
