My doctor prescribed this because I get migraines and should not be taking any bc with estrogen in it. She warned me that it was not as effective as regular bc but I figured it would be better then getting a stroke in my 30's. After reading the pamphlets I found out that this is only like 1-3% less effective than traditional birth control and way more effective than condoms. After 4 months on it I...

I have been nursing my son for a year and have taken the "mini-pill" since he was 6 weeks old. I took Micronor for most the duration and did not experience any unflattering side-effects and I recommend it highly. My pharmacy without notice this last month sent me Errin and within the week of taking it I started bleeding sporadically after I had finished my period. Gained weight after I started working out daily as well as became bloated having people ask me if I was pregnant. Don't give up on the "mini-pill" but I do not recommend Errin.Read More Read Less

I have only been on this med for 2 weeks and have always used a back up method. Reading the use for this drug, if you miss taking the pill by 3 hours it may make the pill ineffective, so I keep missing the window which is why I have been using the back up. As far as how I feel. I am bleeding as much as I did when I gave birth (which is kind of depressing) And I look 5 month pregnant with the bloating and weight gain. I am going to stick with the back up method until I stop breast feeding. I am done. Read More Read Less

I have taken this medication for almost three weeks and I have had severe mood swings bordering on depression, terrible acne, lowered sex drive and bleeding. I would NOT recommend this medication. I am on it because I am breastfeeding but I plan on ditching it now as it is making me miserable.

I was prescribed errin not being able to handle the estrogen bcp bc of increased migraine. I've been taking it for 4 months same time every day-haven't got pregnant :) However, the side effects of the medication are not letting up and I'm considering an alternative bc method. My neck and jawline have developed painful acne! It's embarrassing-I'm gonna be thirty soon and have never had an issue with this before taking this medication. Also, I suddenly have an anxiety and panic week or two before I get my period. My period stays irregular too which concerns me of it's effectiveness :( Read More Read Less

I have been on this almost 3 full months for heavy periods and am developing crazy acne on my face, cramping, and almost skipped a period in the first month of using!

I have been taking Errin for almost 2 months. I have experienced the most incredible PMS symptoms that started 2 weeks before I got around to actually starting my period. I haven't noticed any weight gain to date, but my cravings have been out of control, acne, cramping, bloating, my breasts are killing me, and my period is going on a week long (so far). I've also noticed increased clotting during this period as well. I'll deal with my naturally strange cycles and condoms. The side effects of this pill are ridiculous!Read More Read Less

Been on this pill for seven days and I have cried for 3 of those days, and have been moody to the point that I will be divorced if I dont get off it soon. Still feel the cramps so what is the point of taking this pill? Never had problems with regular birth control pills. Nope this pill is not for me. Dont plan on taking it long enough to find out about the other side effects.

Ive been on errin since my daughter was 6 weeks. shes 8 months now. My periods have been irregular this whole time either from skipping my period for 1-2 months, or two periods in one month with only a few days break in between the two periods. i have extreme bloating, i look pregnant! not to mention feeling pregnant i have cramps and they last awhile. ive taken a few pregnant tests throughout my months of taking it, and negative. i am satisfied with that though cause a few times a month i let my boyfriend/baby daddy 'finish' in me. overall, its doing its job, but the side effects make me feel awful.Read More Read Less

I have been taking this pill for 5 months now because I was breastfeeding. I was never really having regular periods since taking it. I've went once with no period for 2 months, then I started my period which lasted for two weeks and finally stopped bleeding for a week only to start up again. I also feel I am extra moody and I've been having a VERY itchy scalp. My hair seems to be getting thinner but its already thin to begin with... My legs have been aching on and off too. I'm pretty upset I've even wasted my time on this pill. What's the use in taking it if your period wont stop? I feel sorry for all the women wasting their time on this pill.Read More Read Less

I had to start taking Errin because I have migraines very bad. This pill has made me gain weight, and I have the worst skin ever since taking this pill. In 30 years I've never had an acne problem. It also made my hair fall out, made me a mad woman, I'd go from happy to zapping out on my boyfriend, a crying mess it made me. This is the worst pill ever.

After 2 1/2 months of taking this pill I experienced significant hair loss. I have literally lost 1/2 my hair and after 1 month of stopping this medication I continue to lose hair! If you start to see your hair falling out, STOP immediately!! I just hope I don't end up bald. Very sad.

Errin has been a miracle for me. After the birth of my daughter, I experienced constant bleeding for a year. Doctors could find nothing wrong with me and I was in a medical nightmare. I was put on estrogen pills and nearly died from clotting. Finally, my doc did a hysteroscopy and found I had excessive tissue build-up in my uterus. I was faced with an ablation or trying this pill. This pill made my periods as normal as they could be immediately. Two years later, I barely ever have a period and when I do, it's gone in days. Over the two years I've been on this, I have experienced occasional depression, some weight gain, and my skin isn't great. Sometimes I will have a period from hell- soaking through products in mere minutes, awful cramps, clots, the works. All in all, though, this has been a miracle for me. I'm willing to have the occasional problem in order to not have constant bleeding. Read More Read Less

I was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder nearly 3 years ago. I tried Lamictal, and a few anti depressants. The Lamictal made me "neutral." The Anti depressants made me miserable. I finally became pregnant with my daughter October, 2012, and had to be put on progesterone because she was a potential miscarriage, even in the 2nd trimester. Even though I was scared of losing her, it was the most "normal" I'd ever felt. I suspected that was due to the Progesterone supplements. Once I had her, I went back to my doctor and went on the Depo Shot because it was a synthetic form of Progesterone. It worked at first, bringing me back to my normal, but wore off. Errin however, is a consistent amount of Progestin, and I have felt quiet good while on it. My highs aren't as high, and my lows are manageable and I can still function with ease. Also, I did have my hormones checked twice, and I was considered in the "normal" range. Now I wonder if I truly have Bipolar disorder (type 2), or if my body did not do well in the "normal" range for Progesterone. Read More Read Less

I was given this to regulate my cycle! I have now been on my period for 8 weeks non stop. Heavy bleeding my doctor tells me keep taking it! I don't think it's doing nothing for me! I have never had a child or been pregnant so can't say I am hormonal. My doctor told me it would make my periods light and go away! It has done just the opposite they are very very heavy and has not stopped! Very unhappy with this medication

From day 1, my breasts were sore and on the 30th day I started my cycle which turned very scary where I had abnormal abdominal pain, cold sweats, heavy bleeding and burning chest pain. I will never take another hormone regimen again.

I'm on day 8 of taking this pill. Prescribed due to migraine and inability to tolerate estrogen (bloating/headaches/irrability). I hate this Errin stuff! Weirdest part was on day 5 I got so nauseated I threw up at work. Only mild nausea since. In general I have seen a mild increase in my impatience, what's weird is that I have extreme anxiety and paranoia in the hours leading up to pill time. I have trouble discerning whats real emotion and whats really happening...and a general paranoid feeling that others are "out to get me" and feel almost like I've been possessed. (I have never been depressed or had anxiety, and am in general a very happy easy going person.) After pill is taken I feel settled and clear again. Its had such a bad effect on me that I just dumped my (really great) boyfriend in the 30 minutes before pill was due...for something very minor. Major over-reaction. Perhaps he will understand, perhaps not. (I hope so) I rated this ineffective because I'm going to stop taking it. If stop taking it, it won't work. Unfortunately, if you get so paranoid/angry you leave your partner... I guess it does. Bad stuff.Read More Read Less

I experienced major depression while on this medicine. I cried at the drop of a hat, got upset/angry at stupid little things, and just didn't feel like me. My sex drive also tanked. I've been off the pill for less than a month and already feel better emotionally and my sex drive is back.

I am 32 years old and I have been taking this pill for a year and a half. I have gained some weight but when changing my diet, the pounds start to come off. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with this pill. I no longer have a period which was odd at first but I am ok with it now.

While I never got pregnant during the 9months I took this pill, I experienced such astronomical side effects I just couldn't continue use. Luckily I didn't lose my hair or get bad acne like some women do, but the mini-pill had a huge impact on my mood. I had crazy mood swings and crying fits for no reason, and after 6 months of using the pill I started having panic attacks, feeling anxious all the time, and feeling more and more depressed as time went on. I have been on an anti-anxiety pill (Fluoxetine) for a couple years, but I had to up my dosage because I was going so crazy. And, though these mood side effects were pretty much constant anyway, they were even more INSANE during the week I was "supposed to" get my period BUT NEVER DID. (I got one period on this drug in the 9 months I took it. And I think that period came on because I had a panic attack and my stress hormones were wacked!) I would take pregnancy tests monthly just to ease my mind because I would have pregnancy like symptoms--bloating, breast tenderness, moodiness, nausea etc. They always came back negative, but it always made me so uneasy! I've been off it for two days and I already feel a bit brighter. Don't underestimate the power of synthetic hormones and really give this extra thought if you have a history of anxiety/depress/mental illness. It's been a rough ride, and in my opinion, really not worth it.Read More Read Less
