it helps me a lot coz now i can eat like a human being before takig this i used to look or only kiss my food. what will happe when i stop using this? am i going to return back to square one, am i supposed to take this for the rest of my life or even if i stop my appetite will still be good?

I went through a period of time when I never felt hungry and therefore I didn't eat very much. My doctor prescribed Periactin to be taken before each meal and my appetite returned with a vengeance and everything I ate tasted so much better.

When I was in school I was not eating or sleeping due to stress from family, school and work.I told my doctor that I didn't want to take depression med so he gave me this pill and it really worked. The first couple of weeks all I did was sleep and eat but once my body got used to the medication I didnt get as tired easily. I gained 7 pounds in a week which is amazing for me because it is very hard for me to gain weight. I would advise that you take this pill with a meal because when you sleep it makes you have stomach pains once you wake up.Read More Read Less

I started taking this medication for my migranes. I get them almost every day and I can't function at all. So far it seems to be helping a lot. I've also started to gain weight, which is good. The only con is it does make me sleepy and it's hard to wake up in the morning.

My son who is 8 years old has been taking meds for ADHD and that had decreased his eating habit witch has made him lose tons of weight. I recently took him to a new dr because his old dr would not help and was not concerned about the weight loss. When I got to the dr she told me he was really thin. I explained to her what was going on and she told me she was going to give him periactin and to give it every night before bed. That night I started giving it to him and the next morning he was saying mommy I am so hungry. The periactin has helped him get his appetite back and my little boy is finally eating again. nothing? except started hearing voces again and seeing things again started having bad panic attacks and mood changes again

I was given Periactin because i didn't have an appetite and was losing alot of weight. I have been taking it for about 3 months and my appetite has picked up and I also have ganed weight.I am very satisfied!!

My Daughter is 12 years old and is under weigh the Periactin has helped her gain, but however she has a hard time getting up in the morning
