I have been using this product for about 4 weeks, you have use a very very thin film of it on your face, if you slather it on like moisturizer, the side effects are worsen. Please use a very thin film of it, very thin that is all you need. Its been working for me, clearing up very nicely and it does sting and itch, but mildly. Nothing in life is easy and sometimes, its worth the mild to moderate s...

BEWARE! Finacea gel and ALL other Rosacea face creams carry warnings of wheezing, tightness of breath but they are not shown high enough on the side effects listings. I have had a bad year with unexplained wheezing. My doctor had no knowledge of this side effect and had me investigated for old age onset of asthma. The test was negative. Web searches revealed this side effect and I tested myself w...

I had a little acne that my Dr treated as eczema with no results. He then took a shot at Rosacea and prescribed this. My face blew up within 2 days. Swollen, very red and painful. I stopped using it 3 weeks ago and the red face, swollen, and painful symptoms have not gone away. I don't want to leave the house. I definitely am switching doctors. I would give anything to go back to my acne.

I suffered with acne rosacea for many years and have been treated for it for about 10 years with limited success. I found Metro Gel and Metro Lotion drying and my red face still suffered breakouts. I've been using Finacea for about 2 months and have not had one breakout. My skin is smoother, less dry, and the redness has even decreased. I also use CeraVe as my moisturizer and wash which helps with the redness. Between Finacea and CeraVe I finally have the skin I had wished for.

I have been suffering from acne for about 7 years now. It is no longer active but it left some scars. My derma prescribed finacea to clear the spots. I must say, it works wonders for me. 2 months on it, i can see a significant reduction in acne scars. Still some work to do, but i am very happy with it. It does burn upon application, even now after 2 months. However it burns less than when i first started using it. I also find that it makes my skin dry, but i use some oil free face lotion during the day, and presto. Overall, great product. Read More Read Less

I was prescribed Finacea only to help clear up redness/scarring from acne on my forehead. I have not experienced ANY negative side effects. No burning, stinging, or dryness. That being said, I'm not sure if it has made much of a difference. The scars are fading, but I wouldn't say they are fading any quicker than normal. It costs $20 on my insurance instead of the usal $10.

Try it, and give it a chance, but, be patient.Read More Read Less

it has stopped the progress of the Rosacea. I do find it does burn still after 3 yrs of use if I use too much. I usually put cream right on top so the burning goes away quick. I do find that I get very dry skin on either side of my nose which is a bit annoying but tolerable since the med works.

I have suffered from rosacea for almost 30 years. Usually had to cover up with thick makeup; I felt awful. I was finally given this by a new dermatologist, as well as oral antibiotic for the first 60 days. Used in the morning (Metrogel used at night) I saw a 95% improvement in my skin after about 2 1/2 to 3 months. I now can go makeup free and still look normal! In fact many people (I work in a beauty store, of all places) tell me I look 10 years younger than I am. It takes time but don't stop unless your derma tells you to!Read More Read Less

race is redder than ever - been using it for two weeks for rosacea - dr said it would take 4 weeks to see a difference - but I can't stand how red my face is now. I am not going to use it any more.

The cost is $125.00 for 50 grams and is not covered by my medicade or Premier insurance.Since it is not for a cosmetic use it should be. 125 is too much.

Finacea is easy to use & adequately treats roseacea. I have had no furthur "extreme" breakouts from the rosacea since I have been using the Finacea along w/ the Metrogel.

Worked extremely well and cleared up my acne rosacea. HOWEVER, I've never had cold sores in my life and I seem to be getting them almoste every 4-5 months since I've started using this product. My dermatologist suggested another product, but it didn't work at all.

it is much more effective than metrogel for my rosacea. It gets rid of the red pustules in a day.

Did an excellent job of clearing rosacea skin eruptions. Need to use a moisturizer with this medication. I used Aloe Vera Gel, which worked well.

I just started using this product and during the first day I felt burning/stinging immediately after applying it, which I read was to be expected. It is very expensive. I hope the end results are worth it.

It worked for the first week, but then side effects such as burning, itching, and redness of my face increased one day, all of the sudden, to the point my face became so hot and swollen. This medicine was so expensive even with insurance - so disappointed. I need to go out of town in a couple of days and I don't even want to go outside now.
