My husband has had angina for several years and it has done wonders for his condition. He has only been on it for a little over a week and has had to take only one nitro pill and he had only been on it for two days, but has not had angina since.

I had chest pain all the time. My life was on hold. I felt isolated, and alone in this struggle. Ranexa has taken me from several times a day to a few times a week!

Been on Ranexa for about 2 1/2 years. What a wonderful drug. Intolerant to many drugs but this one is working. Was an invalid but now can tolerate mild exercise.

This worked with being able to breath better, and I can walk up stairs somewhat easier. But it gave me a headache, sick to my stomach, dry mouth, and a funny taste in mouth. For about 5 hrs after I took this pill then it would go away and then I would take my second one for the day I am on 2 a day. and it would start all over heartache, dry mouth,ect.......

I have been taking two 500mg tablets a day for about 8 months. It helped me in the beginning, but lately I am having moderate angina more often than before I started Ranexa. The handout says to not take more than 1000 per dose or 2000 per day. I will ask my doctor if three 500mg per day would be beneficial. Does anyone else take more than two 500 mg per day? Thank God for Nitro.

I am concerned about this med because I am also on blood thinners, inhalers for copd, loratab, celexea and xanax. There are major warnings for some of these. Does anyone else take the xanax or celexa with this med. I am on 500 mg 2 times day.

I have had swelling in both legs, ankles, & feet since taking Ranexa. Also, nauseau, stomach pain, & vomiting. I was advised that this isn't a common side affect - very rare. My cardiologist told me to stop the medication to see if this is the cause of my symptoms. It did stop the angina pain.

Ranexa has helped my angina, but I am so tired, and have had pain in my bones, I am not sure that this is a side effect from the medication.

Very rewarding medication that has kept me going at more normal pace. I tried reducing it by one half and my discomforts started again, went back to my normal two a day and i am fine again. Many thanks to my doctor for recomming it.

I found this to be a wonderful drug for angina. Had angina for almost 2 years and after taking Ranexa for 2 days not one angina attack. I was becoming a cardic invalid before Ranexa. May have to ask doctor for it. Some are slow to prescribe it. Only thing left to say is Ranexa is a wonderful drug.
