Linda Hyder-Ferry, MD, MPH

Linda Hyder-Ferry, MD, MPH, is the originator of the first FDA-approved non-nicotine pharmacologic treatment for smoking cessation using bupropion (Zyban). Her pivotal research has opened a new direction for nicotine research. In May of 1999 Ferry was awarded the World Health Organization Tobacco Control Medal Award.

Ferry is the founder of the Foundation for Innovations in Nicotine Dependence (FIND). Currently she is an associate professor of preventive medicine and family medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and preventive medicine residency program director at the university.
