I have been taking fluoride for over 10 years now and I am pleased with the results! I wanted a neurotoxin that could numb my cognition and reduce my IQ. My observational skills and awareness of others personal space has dwindled, which is great. The great thing about this toxin is that it is in my tap water.

This is one of the WORST descriptions of fluoride I have ever seen. As a nurse I know that it is NOT used for bone density. It was once tested for this use, but there were so many broken hips they had to stop the study. Fluoride is very toxic, just stopping fluoride toothpaste reversed a difficult case of acne for my daughter. Avoiding it in water is more difficult! I started Fluoride Free America...please join us on Facebook!! Thanks and good luck living without fluoride!!

Unbelievable. I was in awe that my kids' dentist told me to let my kids drink tap water from the faucet, cause "the fluoride is great for them!" I don't remember the last time I bit my tongue so hard. American dentistry practices are providing a large disservice to our people.

It's funny how many poorly educated simpletons there are who dive head first into the rumours, conjecture, and hearsay on fluoride propulgated by the uneducated masses. I happen to work in medicine, and from dealing with fluoride, have learned the harmful dosages and effects. To have any effects from fluoride in drinking water would require drinking about 80 glasses a day, in trace amounts fluoride has been proven safe. the CDC, ADA, British fluoride association, and a fair few other medical body's point out that the supposed bad effects of fluoride are extolled by a heap of quacks and pseudoscientists who don't know what they're talking about. Also, from working with dentists who service areas with and without fluoridated water, they point out how easy it is to tall the difference between the areas. Get your facts straight people!!!Read More Read Less

An effective way of reducing incidence of dental cavities. Works by helpings enamel that is softened to re-harden and prevent advancement and formation of dental carries. The doses used in drinking water and toothpaste do not come in anywhere near the dose needed to hurt or kill a human. Keep in mind everything is a poison; the dosage determines if it is posinouis. Water ingested in large volume is also toxic (causes red blood cells to swell up and rupture). Do not fall for the anti-science fringe group that says fluoride in water and toothpaste is toxic. The only difference noted by my dentist after a 6 month regimen of prescription brand fluoride use was a white patch now found on the side of my tongue. Should it not clear up he will refer me to a MD for diagnosis and possible biopsy for cancer. Also, I have a small cavity forming.

I do not see the logic in downgrading fluoride because it can be classed as a poison. Almost everything we ingest is a poison if taken in excessive amounts. This includes some of the things we may enjoy the most. Almost all if not all medications that save lives can be classed as poisons if overdosed.

Whoever wrote this article has never actually researched their statements, or they are lying. In either case, fluoride is TOXIC; it is a waste byproduct of the aluminum manufacturing industry! Read the label on your toothpaste tube, it says; “IF INGESTED CONTACT A POISON CONTROL CENTER IMMEDIATELY“. Suggesting that it is beneficial to ingest for treatment of osteoporosis is completely preposterous. Many studies have found that fluoride is responsible for bone disease and cancer. Web MD, do your research! Read More Read Less

Shame on WebMD. You can measure the trustworthiness of WebMD and the likes by their opinion on fluoride. Fluoride is toxic to humans. Since WebMD lists articles touting all the "benefits" of poison in our drinking water in the name of healthy teeth, they failed and cannot be trusted for anything else in my opinion. Fluoride is proven to adversely affect so many parts of our bodies including the brain, thyroid, bones, kidneys. Even worse is it doesn't really even help your teeth (dental fluorosis). And since when is our teeth such a public health concern above GENERAL health of body and brain? Everyone I know is fluoride damaged, including myself. Advice to WebMD: Do not get input from the CDC or any governmental "health" organization or any medical experts who get advice from such organizations. Thank you.Read More Read Less

Journal of the American Dental Association reports that fluoride supplements have no beneficial effects to primary teeth; but does cause tooth discoloration. There's no scientifically valid reason for swallowing fluoride in any form. Fluoride is not a nutrient nor essential for healthy teeth. It's already in most foods and beverages. Too much fluoride damages bones as well as teeth.
