I have been taking 40mg of red clover for just over a week and my hot flashes which were uncomfortable and fairly consistent through the day and were disturbing my sleep too, have all but vanished. Also I was experiencing some anxiety and that is pretty much gone too. I do not like pill popping but the benefits here are so worth it.

Does anybody have any experience using red clover for skin issues? Any input would be greatly helpful. I have been hospitalized 3 times and 2 of them times had to have surgery. I have had this problem several other times but thankfully didnt ...

I got this product for breast pain associated with menopause. However, I also noticed, in spite of exercising 6 days a week, a five pound weight gain within a few months. I never "bounced" while walking through a room, and prior to taking Red Clover, I was bouncing; it was due to weight gain! In any case, Red clover blossom eliminated my breast pain and helped my body get it's normal shape back in about three weeks. With that being said, I cut down on unhelpful foods, and excess sugar somewhat. I have lost four pounds, and to me, it's noticeable. I am glad the health store lady recommended Red Clover Blossom to me. I owe her one! BTW - I just turned 55!Read More Read Less

I was having over 10 hot flashes a day, and a few at night as well. After 2 weeks of this, I decided to try red clover. I honestly was very skeptical, having read the scientific studies which are at best inconclusive. But my hot flashes completely disappeared after about 3 or 4 days of taking 40mg a day. I haven't had a single hot flash in weeks.

I noticed a difference within the first week. My hot flushes stopped. I have psoriasis and within 2 weeks that started to improve.

I have been taking red clover for 7 months. It took 2 months to stop the hot flushes. After 5 months they have started to return. I take Holland and baratt tablets and it states the dose as 430mg per pill no more than 6 per day. I already take 5. What is the recommended daily dose I can take , should I try another make ?? Help don't want hot flushes back

Don't know why there is such negativity towards red clover on Web MD, but it worked very well for me. Maybe they get paid by big pharma so won't promote OTC.

My doctor had me on HRT and it was too harsh. I switched to promensil without bother to tell the doctor and it's the best thing I could have done. It's effective and gentle on my body i.e. no breast tenderness and I'm not moody.

Reduced my hot flushes from several a day to zero. Reduced my nights sweats similarly, can now sleep through the night. Have changed nothing else in my life so must be the promensil. Was obviously working from about the 5 th day of taking them. If you are thinking about it, try it, you really have nothing to lose but you can regain some sleep.

Contrary to what is said here, I have found that taking red clover has helped prevent hot flushes. When my supplier stopped stocking it & I went for a period without taking red clover, the hot flushes came back at night-time, so disrupting sleep and causing anxiety.

This is the only thing that controlled my hot flashes. I take Promensil. It also helps my mood.

I have been taking Red Clover Leaf for four months now and they work. I still suffer from the odd flash at night but absolutely nothing like I was experiencing before I took Red Clover. I would say give them a try, you will be so happy you did.

the write up here about red clover is somewhat cynical and contradictory. It's poorly written. A friend of mine asked her doctor about red clover and he replied "black cohosh has bad reports". he didn't event know they were two different products, so having the medical profession review isn't always effective. Red clover has worked for me and several friends, one who cant take anything else due to previous cancer treatment. there are so many damaging side effects to pharmaceutical medicines that are too freely prescribed, that to miss-critique a somewhat harmless product is a pity. In the section titled Red Clover Overview Info where it states "...doesn’t seem to work, though, for lowering cholesterol or controlling hot flashes in women," I don't know what they based that statement on, but I know that it absolutely did work for me. I started having major hot flashes about 8 weeks ago, to the point where the at-least-hourly flashes of profuse heat and perspiring were bad enough, but the problems sleeping I had at night that this caused quickly made me desperate for help. I read about Red Clover, ordered some online (couldn't find in any stores), and had very high hopes that it would work. It absolutely worked, I noticed within 2-3 days the obvious decrease in the severity of the hot flashes, and within 1-2 weeks they were barely noticeable. Now they are non-existant. I was prepared to go and beg my physician to put me on HRT even though they don't like to do that these days, but I felt that the stress from lack of sleep was worse for my health than whatever might happen in the future. Red Clover completely deleted the problem for me. Read More Read Less

I have been having hot flushes for months now and my doctor took no notice when I complained about having them almost every hour. It was crippling me emotionally. Then I decided to go to a health shop and they were so helpful. They advised Red Clover. I hurried home and took two with my dinner and. ..hey presto !!! they worked like a dream. I take 3 per day with main meals and I haven't had a hot flush or a night sweat since. All I can say is. ..Thank goodness I found it

This is a friend's experience. It worked for her for years - much better than any hormone treatment. What burns my rear end is that this "Web MD" would try to deny the effectiveness of red clover. They want the lifetime membership to their drug of the month. Well, screw them, I saw this stuff work flawlessly, and had been for years. I wouldn't believe a word that is found at any site that is sponsored by the medical community.

I started taking Promensil 5 months ago after the onset of nightly and frequent hot flashes. My hot flashes stopped after a week on Promesil. Overall, I have had only a handful of very minor hot flashes in the past 5 months.
