I reviewed this before but wanted to suggest those not having better results from the IP6 and Inositol take a therapeutic dose of 8-12 pills twice a day. this is what I have been taking for over a year and I am Cancer free so far. The maintenance dose of two pills twice a day is suggested for those without cancer and or other diseases as a preventative. I learned this from reading Dr. Shamsuddin's...

After taking 2 tabs 2 times daily for 30 days, I developed 3 welts on my back. I stopped taking the tabs 3 weeks ago - I have had over 20 welts appear in varied locations. At present - I have 7 active welts, 1 of which has a blister. They itch and are very uncomfortable. As of now - 3 weeks later - I am wondering how much longer it will take for the supplement to get out of my system.

I began taking IP-6 in March of 2012 after learning of prostate cancer. I was introduced to IP-6 while watching an episode of the Dr. Oz show and looked at all the information I could get on this supplement...very, very interesting as to the potential benefits it could do for me. I started with 1000mg daily in capsule form in the beginning, but after further reading I have ramped it up to 4000mg daily. I am a Vietnam veteran and will soon have a check-up as to the status of the PCa...getting worse, staying the same, or improving. Kind of hard to determine what's going on without another biopsy and I would much rather Doctors want to "cure" prostate cancer by cutting, freezing, or burning you with radiation!!! No thank-you at this time. Those "options" will be the very last things on my list of "cure". My PCa is a gleason score of 6...3+3 on all cores showing cancer. 4 of 12 cores cancerous. 1 core 40%, the others were 5%, 2% and 1%. I figure these are very low and shows to be a "slow growing" cancer. I say this because the first biopsy I had when 54years old, my PSA was 6.2 and no cancer was found. At 62 my PSA was 10.4 and the biopsy did find cancer...well no kidding! I figure i've have had prostate cancer since, and maybe before, I was 54. I do not have any problems with getting up at night to pee, cancer is still within prostate, bone scan, ct scan...both negative for cancer. Anyway...have a positive attitude and looking forward to my appointment with the VA. I will let you all know what's going on after the check-up. I believe the IP-6 is doing its' job and keeping the cancer in check...We will see.Read More Read Less

If Ip6 decreases absorption of iron then why would it be used for the treatment of anemia?

I HAVE BEEN USING IP-6 WITH INOSITOL FOR 5 YEARS. MY BLADDER CANCER HAS NOT COME BACK FOR 2 YEARS. I NOW HAVE PRECANCER ON MY LEFT VOCAL CORD AND CANCER STARTING IN MY RIGHT VOCAL CORD. I HAVE BEEN TAKING 9 PILLS A DAY FOR 5 YEARS, I THINK THEY HAVE BEEN KEEPING THE CANCER AT BAY. MY BLADDER CANCER STARTED OUT AS AGRESSIVE CANCER.
