I started taking antidepressants when my husband was diagnosed with cancer.. long hard journey. I gained 25 pounds over that time. Stopped the Prozac and switched to Wellbutrin, and was losing weight finally. But due to side effects (tremors), had to stop. Since I refused to take something with weight gain, looked for an alternative and found SAMe. Did my research, and decided to give it a tr ... Show Full Comment

It made my depression much worse, and I was in bed for 3 days before I felt better. I have Hashimoto's and take prescription thyroid and also many supplements. So I'm not sure if there was an interaction with something else, or if I took too much. I am tempted to try it again and start with a very tiny amount, since I keep reading that it helps.

I was taking generic Wellbutrin but became moody and anxious on it. I stopped and decided to try something natural. After reading about SAMe, I bought the 400mg strength and have been taking each morning for about three weeks. I'm calmer and more focused, and I haven't had any of the gastric problems as some unfortunate people have experienced. As a high school teacher, my job has impr ... Show Full Comment
