I have taken CLA twice a day in large doses for almost one year. The effects on converting body fat to lean muscle tissue is phenomenal - however, this like other supplements TAKES TIME. The published research suggests that CLA converts .4 pounds of fat to lean muscle tissue per MONTH.. But over the course of a year that is approximately 5 pounds of FAT! I tried CLA only to realize the side effects that I experience were not worth it. Headaches, adominal pain, feeling very dizzy and living in the bathroom. I was so nauseated that I had to lay down and just rest. I have heard it does well for some but not for me. I got off of it and symptons went away. The best way is to excercise and eat right. Peri-menapausal 51 yr old. Work out 4 - 6 days/wk for two months and lost 2 lbs. Started CLA and lost 3 lbs in the first two weeks with no side effects and feel great. Prices at stores very widely for exact same ingrediants, paid $9.97 for Natures Bounty brand at local store but saw for &17.99 at Walgreens - shop around!
