For most users who take the appropriate dosage Melanotan II does not present any adverse side effects. Of those who do experience mild negative side effects they are generally those documented in the original clinical study of Melanotan II in humans, namely: flushing of the face and mild nausea. These side effects usually only last for 1-2 hours after the injection and usually only occur after the...

I am really disappointed in the product. For the price of R700 a bottle, I received a tiny bottle smaller than the length of my finger (excluding the nasal sprayer) it is ineffective and i have not seen any difference. My bottle is almost finished and know results, am i expected to pay another R700 to get results.

I had some experience with it when i was end of 15yo / did use it until early 16 (i'm 18yo now), To my background: I'm a bodybuilder, started lifting at 13yo, and i wanted to get darker skin (i'm pretty white naturally :/) and my parents didn't allow me to go to a tanning bed. This also was my first experience with self injection. total usage was 4 Months, after 2 weeks i started noticing changes, what's quite cool is that it's the whole body and it's super even. After 2 months i was realy getting a tan, like it would have been as i was like 2 weeks in the summer in the sun / playing outside for the whole day every day After 3 1/2 months it was enough so my teacher contacted my parents and i got a bit in trouble, i told them i was able to tell them i was at the sunbed a lot (and got trouble because they didnt allow) but that's bascially why i stopped a bit later I was almost black (not joking) it was dark enough so it was hard to see spots on the skin After stopping it took about 2 years (so until now) before i look almost white, it's still darker than i was before and from what i've read it's my normal skin color now (which i'm really happy about) So it was about 1 year where you would have thought i was a lot in the sunbed. It generally looked really good and i'd recommend it, the problem is just that you would have to do it regularily About side effects, i didn't notice any ^^Read More Read Less

I have for the bast years seen 3 dermatologists and my family doctor over a 12 times trying anything to stop this itching. It is only on my arms, for the past year only on one arm and not the arm that faces the car window. Mainly the upper shoulder which does not sound bad but I ferociously itch through the night . I am presently taking the maximum dosage of voltaren oral which is anti inflammatory daily but lately it stopped working and the itching has returned. ? ?I have been told the product has made me allergic to the sun. ??When I say itching, it is the type that causes me to tear into my skin causing great pain. ?I have tried every over the counter and prescription medication with no avail. ?Do you have any suggestions? ??Thanks, ?Coralie PalmerRead More Read Less

I’m Irish (whitest of white) and also a physicians associate! I was skeptical, but I have to say I agree with everyone! I spent a ton of money on spray tans. Melanotan isn’t cheap, but that has a lot to say for the quality! I have a beautiful natural tan now which was NEVER an option for me. Just burn then a “reddish tan”… I am obsessed! Not sure if I can mention where I work, but this is where I learned about this product and it is AMAZING! Please go to a reputable source to get it but 10 out of 10!! “If you can’t tone it… tan it!” :) (I had to choose ED to post)Read More Read Less

I have been using this for 9 years! I am able to achieve a good tan within 2 weeks of starting. I always feel sick straight after with mild headache. My skin is definitely way oilier when using. Libido increased. All my freckles have darkened and one so much on my nose that it looks almost black! My eyes were blue/green but after taking this for so long I have brown spots from the melanin. None of these are a problem to Me I’m just sharing my experience! Highly recommend I do worry sometimes about long term side effects which are currently unknown Read More Read Less

Unbelievably amazing! I have NEVER been able to get a tan. I kept from enjoying the ocean and going to the beach. So many events I missed out on growing up because I would burn terribly, even if only in the sun for 20 minutes. 99% of the trips/vacations I went on, I ended up having to spend indoors, laying in the bed covered in aloe, in pain and unable to move. This stuff has been Pure FREEDOM! I cannot believe how tan I have become and I can enjoy days out on the boat and on the beach. No longer embarrassed to wear shorts or hide my skin. This product has truly Changed my life!! I have such confidence and can ENJOY the outdoors without fear. I experienced NO side effects. I began very slowly .015 to .025 and currently at .040. I did take 1/2 antihistamine in the beginning but now it is no longer needed. Not once did I experience any ill effects. Go slowly, take your time... it will come. Going slowly also reduces the moles/freckles you'll see. Even if you do see darker ones, they soon will blend with your new tanned skin. I would only recommend this to those who cannot tan; redheads like me. If you can tan, it is better to do so without this. Injecting is painless but does require commitment. So happy this exists!! My dad is in his 60s and has used it for awhile. He always looks so tan. I asked him for some and started using it about 6 months ago. I am just the right color. In the summer it’s super easy to get nice and golden tan and I use less product. I LOVE THIS STUFF

Itching at injection site and anorexia within five minutes. Sexual enhancement is somewhat inconsistent as to time (2-5 hours) and effect sometimes not much. But when it works it's like a fifty year trip back to being 19.

Love this product! I have an amazing tan so does my boyfriend and I've also lost weight and got tighter skin!!! It's a miracle! Only thing is after a few times the shot was hurting a bit so I just switched areas and objected into my love handle fat lol n doing it sitting down helps get the best fat to inject into.

It does help me to tan and not burn but side effects are queasiness and massive amounts of mucous. Itchy throat, coughing, sneazing. I might need to lower the dosage.

Ok, so firstly i am a skin type 2 on the fitzpatrick scale. Brown hair, blue eyes but pale skinned. Hardly any freckles but still never Tan. I started taking Melanotan II in August last year - In the past i've been on sunbeds and gone through 90 minutes of tanning over 3 week periods and still not changed colour, you couldnt even tell where my boxers had been. Melanotan II changed all of that. For someone who has never been able to experience a tan before this is the most amazing product in the world. It does wonders for your confidence, your skin looks healthy, you tan incrediblly fast and you never burn! I went to Turkey last october, took Melanotan everyday for a week leading up to the holiday with two sun bed sessions, i had already got a decent base tan before i went.. By my third day in the Turkish people thought i was a native! My friends founds it hystrically, they'd come up to make talking turkish asking for directions as if i lived there! Usually on summer holidays i get pissed off as friends tan around me and i'm left pale and blotchy red, not with Melanotan II. It isnt all good news though! You have to be incrediblly careful. I was too impatient at first, i did what they call a loading phase where you inject mass amounts everyday to build it up in your system, there really is no need! - Melanotan does cause you to gain more frekles than you already had and for existing frekles to go darker - I have 5-6 smallish ones on my face now which i can't get rid of, they dont look so noticable with a tan. I was injecting 0.05ml every other day at first, now i do it once every two weeks - I never feel sick, i do suffer slight facial blushing at first and then thats it for side affects, i've also stopped gaining freckles. For me, this stuff honestly is a miricale. To sit on holiday and not feel the sun burning through your skin is what dreams are made of for a fair skinned person. (always wear suncream though!) Would highly recommend, but use responsibly.Read More Read Less

I was a red head as a kid, then as I aged, I turned dishwater blonde, but had super light skin and freckles. I would burn easy. I had a trip to Jamaica planned and got this. I eased into it. At first, stomach felt kinda blah and was tired. As the body got used to it, I upped to full dosage and started tanning at the salon. 2 min at first, then was able to go for the full 15 minutes. I was tan. Like tan tan. At first it made my freckles just a tad darker, then the skin caught up. I was in Jamaica at the beach for a week, I never burned. It was amazing. Hard to find this stuff now. I need to get back on it. It saved me from sun burn, and made my trip a blast. Read More Read Less

It works but gives me a stomach ache and makes me so tired for about 24 hour. It makes my nose run and makes me feel like I am fighting the flu. I does make you tan.

I took half of what I read on the Internet that everyone was using.: 125 µg. I took it by injection every day for three weeks with no side effects. It was still cold outside when I took it. Then it got warm and I had my car windows open and my one arm got extremely darker than the other arm and someone said something. It was darker than it had ever been before. I have found that it pigments sun damage that was already there but invisible. And using oil on my skin in the sun helps prevent that. But to have spent my whole life worrying about the sun and now not have to is amazing. I'm glad to read that others here have used it ten years. Read More Read Less

Hi, I used Melanotan for a period years ago and the results were amazing. The site I used to get my Melanotan from seems to have shut down. There are a lot of sites selling melanotan now (a lot that have bad reviews) so I was hoping someone could advise me of a good site to buy from now? Thanks, D

This product is awesome!!! I was scared to use it bc I never injected anything else before but I was able to achieve a dark brown color after only about 5 tanning bed visits. I haven't used the shots in about 6 weeks and I tan once every other week and I still have a good base tan! Love this stuff!!!

I've used Melanotan for a few years now and have had great results when injecting. I did try the nasal spray once and it didn't work (apparently, the molecules are too big to be absorbed through the nasal membrane) but great results all other times. I've recently started to inject again.. My friend gave me an old insulin pen and I've been correctly dosing with this. The needles are much thinner and shorter and I've noticed some lumps under my skin at the injection point. I'm definitely injecting into the subcutaneous layer so I can't see why I'm getting these abscesses. Has anyone else had these issues???Read More Read Less

I bought this product online, I mixed the powder with bacteriostatic water, the needle is very small, I give myself 1 Mg every two days in my tummy, I can barely feel it. The first two times I felt nauseous for a short time. I attempted tanning earlier this summer, in the high pressure bed 18 times with barely a tan line, on this second attempt with the help of the shot, 1 time in the bed and I had a base colour, now after just 4 sessions I am more tanned then I have ever been. Not to mention that this product was made to prevent skin cancer, seeing as I have allready had skin cancer from burning in the sun, I am now prepared for my vacation.Read More Read Less
