My cholesterol dropped 30 points in 5 months taking 600 mg./day.

I had taken zocor and had muscle pain within 10 days, then was prescribed crestor, took that for one month and developed muscle pain again, my Dr. then told me to try red yeast rice. I've been on it for about 2 months, my cholesterol has gone from 270 to 190 and i have no muscle ache. I'm very satisfied so far. The only draw back is the cost. WHY NOT TAKE MILK THISTLE FOR THE LIVER? MY LIVER TESTS ARE EXCELLENT BECAUSE OF THE MILK THISTLE.

Has lowered my cholesterol numbers to my doctor's satisfaction & has kept them in check for the two years, so far.

Comment:
It brought my cholesterol down from 214 to 162. It brought my LDL down from 138 to 91. My only complaint is that my doctor did not tell me that it is the same as any other Satin drug and that I need liver tests and etc. I get it from COSTCO, Weider brand.
