My blood pressure was as high as 157/103. After one month of drinking hibiscus tea; sometimes combined with olive leaf, ginger, hawthorn, and epimedium; my blood pressure is normal, 120/80.

It reversed what it was intended to do. Blood Pressure went up, anxious, nervous, canâ??t sleep. Does it affect anyone else like that?

I had blood pressure that averaged around 135/88 when i started taking a hibiscus supplement in the form of a pill -- Gaia Herbs, Hibiscus Flower (hibiscus sabdariffa). I took one pill per day (500mg) for the first two weeks and saw no significant decrease. After 2 weeks I increased my dosage to 1 pill 2 times daily (1000mg/day) and saw a dramatic decrease within a week. My blood pressure is now, on average, 125/80.

Tests have been done that hibiscus tea. ( red hibiscus) will lower high blood pressure. I use 3 cups a day and with other products it seems to work. I have used it for at least 6 months.

I started drinking hibiscus tea because my blood pressure was starting to raise to the 145/75 level. I started exercise and diet but BP still did not lower, I added two to three cups of hibiscus tea and my BP has been consistently 128/58 or lower.

I had been drinking organic hibiscus to make as an infusion with Choice herbal Northwest Blackberry infusion-- too much of a good thing? When I had a stress test my blood pressure was up and my cardiologist doubled the dosage for Diovan. I had been using the infusion as a diuretic. I have stopped and now have Lemongrass and Linden and perhaps green tea possible and will not drink the hibiscus every day as I had been. I drink a half glass of celery juice for its diuretic properties each day as well.Read More Read Less
