For years and years, Ive heard a friend of the family talk about MSM. She is from the country and has raised horses all her life. Recently, we reconected and started talking again. She lives several states away. Ive known her for about 20 years. Recently I told her I was having back pains and tried everything to Yoga to working out to chiropractor and nothing helped. She told me to take MSM as she...

Over the months that I took the MSM supplement, I gained an unbelievable amount of weight. I don't know why I didn't realize that the MSM was causing it, but it slipped up on me quickly. That has been 40 pounds I have yet to get rid of...the effects for fibromyalgia were great but not after packing on the pounds and more to immobilize me. Wish I had never ever taken MSM, my body hasn't been the...

I began taking MSM a year and a half ago when I was diagnosed with the early stages of arthritis. I also use an MSM cream for topical use and it works wonders! It is also great for any muscle strains as I am very active despite my diagnosis.

I have been taking MSM for over 20 yrs. When I started it, I was having knee surgery for arthritis in my right knee (the left would be done as soon as the right healed). I have never had to have surgery on the left knee! Pain free and extremely happy!

I have a family history of arthritis, so when I was in my early 50's, I started taking MSM by itself for beginning arthritis pain. After 16 years, I still only take one capsul a day and have no daily joint pain!

I have to use vegetarian glucosamine made from aspergillus niger, as I'm allergic to fish and maize (from which most vegetarian glucosamine is made). The only one I could find (by Viridian UK) also contained MSM so I tried it. The MSM content seems to have helped a lot with the arthritis in my fingers, which are nowhere near as painful as on other types of vegetarian glucosamine, but I'm not sure about my larger joints eg knees.

Alleviated my arthritic pain and Fibro. Then gave it to my old dog who is also suffering from arthritis. Worked wonders! She's like a young dog again. Would recommend MSM highly for both arthritic people and dogs.

diagnosed with PMR after brutal episode of pains that left me unable to lift arms because of pain. dr.prescribed prednisone.that helped w/pains but increased my sugar levels. since nothing else seemed to work, tried MSM and to my surprise it helps tremendously. so far no negative side effects.

I have used this supplement, which is also a liver cleanser, for years. My fibromyalgia is non-existent most of the time and my energy level is increased when I have daily doses. "Designs for Health" brand is the best!

I have osteoarthritis in most of my joints. I have had both knees replaced. After taking MSM for 1 month I can say for the first time in 20 years I have no pain!

I have taken msm nearly everyday for about 6 years. I was told it would help with hair loss if I stayed on it. I have continued to loose hair. However, I accidentally discovered that I no longer needed my allergy medication. I used prescription allegra every year for seasonal allergies. MSM eliminated my need for any other allergy medication.

Surprisingly effective. I've tried a wide variety of muscle rub creams for arthritis. Most of them cause as much or more pain than they claim to help with because they contain some kind of hot pepper plant extract that just burns my skin. No relief there, just more pain! The MSM creams I have tried do not burn, they have very little smell to them, if any, and they actually WORK!!! I have taken the msm pills before too, but the cream works almost instantly! I didn't think it would work deep in the joint since it's topical, but it DID!!! I LOVE THIS CREAM!!!Read More Read Less

Formerly it would take an hour to overcome my morning stiffness; I never felt rested or had energy on rising; when standing for modestly prolonged periods such as at the kitchen counter, the ache of weight bearing through my pelvis and lower back was horrid; and just a 10 - 15 minute walk brought on intense sacroiliac pain. After just a month of 1500 mg. MSM daily, together with glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate (the latter two alone brought no improvement), I move freely in the a.m., feel rested and energized, and can cook and talk walks again. Also, my noisy but not painful knees have quieted down. My sense of taste has changed a bit to something metallic, especially during the few hours immediately after taking a tablet, but that's a comparatively small downside. I intend to try tapering down after 2 - 3 months; the tablets are scored. I'll try to remember to comment again if I notice anything. Read More Read Less

61 years old, with pain in my wrists for years. We give MSM to our young horses as a mild anti-inflammatory, so decided to try it myself. Bought it at the local GNC store, 1500 mg./1 per day. In 36 hours 98% of the wrist pain was GONE, and I mean GONE. Last summer went off the MSM for a week as an experiment - pain came back. Started pills again and in 24 hours pain was gone again. Will continue taking them until the day I die!
