What You Need for a Hospital Stay

Packing the right things to make you feel comfortable for a hospital stay can be a huge relief. Of course, you won’t need to bring much, but just a few little touches from home can do a lot to relax you.

Some of the items you might want to include in your hospital bag are:

  • Clothing. Try to bring clothing that makes you feel comfortable both physically and mentally—pack breathable and forgiving clothing like pajamas, button-up shirts, leggings, sweatpants, or slippers. You will also want shower shoes or shoes that are easy to put on and take off.
  • Toiletries. If you have strong ideas or preferences about what toiletries you want to use, bring those. Usually, travel-sized products are the best for convenience.
  • Sleep items. Many people like to bring pillows or blankets from home. These items can add a lot of comfort and also make you feel more at home in the hospital
