What is metatarsophalangeal joint pain?

ANSWER

This is when your foot aches at the base of your big toe. It's often a symptom of psoriatic arthritis. Things that can make you more likely to get it include:

  • High body mass index
  • Partially dislocated joint
  • Inflammation of the lining of the joint
  • Joint erosion
