Dr. Tigay did his undergraduate work in psychology at The University of Michigan. He completed his M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit. He interned at Lafayette Clinic. Dr. Tigay specializes in behavioral health, stress management, relationship therapy and supervision of the clinical and administrative staff. Dr. Tigay has appeared widely in the media including the Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, Oakland Press, TV2 News, Fox News, The Sonia Friedman radio show (guest host), The Sonia Friedman TV Show, WJR, WWJ, Yahoo Chat and many more. Dr. Tigay is currently president and chief executive officer of Oakland Psychological Clinic, P.C. and the producer of www.planetpsych.com, an educational and entertainment site featuring self help ideas, humor and a national therapist directory.
