Alison Palkhivala is a medical journalist based in Montreal. She performs various types of medical writing, editing, and interviewing for the health care and pharmaceutical industries in Canada and the U.S.
Alison attended McGill University in Montreal on a James McGill Scholarship Award. She studied psychology, focusing on neuroscience, and graduated with First Class Honors. Armed with a government scholarship, she attended graduate school in clinical psychology at Concordia University, also in Montreal. As a full-time employee of Chapter Three Marketing Research Services, a company dedicated to the health care industry, she has written reports and presentations on market research studies for high-level pharmaceutical executives and has interviewed health care professionals, analyzed qualitative data, and trained other staff. She quickly moved from full-time writer at Chapter Three to manager of the writing/qualitative analysis department. She currently works on a freelance basis.
