Cristina Ferrare

Cristina Ferrare was discovered as a model at age fourteen, soon after her family moved from Cleveland to Los Angeles. During the 1970s and '80s she was one of the most famous faces and names in modeling. She was a spokesperson for Max Factor Cosmetics for 10 years and appeared on the covers of Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, and other top magazines. She co-hosted a talk show, "AM LA", from 1984 to 1989 and went on to co-host ABC's "Home Show," "Incredible Sunday," and a series of prime time specials for CBS called "Shame on You." Ferrare has appeared on the "HBO Comedy Special," "The Gary Shandling Show," and "Dream On," and has been a guest co-host on "Live with Regis & Kathie Lee" and "Good Morning America." From 1996 to 1998 she was the co-host of the "Home & Family" show on the Family Channel.

Ferrare has also designed a line of ceramics that that can be purchased via e-commerce and retail stores. She is the author of "Cristina Ferrare's Family Entertaining," a collection of family recipes for every occasion, and "Cristina Ferrare Style." The mother of four, stepmother of three, and grandmother of one, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Tony, and two of her daughters.
