Drew Pinsky, MD

Drew Pinsky, MD, is the medical director for the Department of Chemical Dependency Services at Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, California. For two decades Pinsky has been best known as "Dr. Drew," the warm, sincere beacon of advice on Loveline, the nationally syndicated radio call-in show. For five years, he co-hosted the nightly MTV program of the same name. He is the co-author, with his Loveline co-host Adam Carolla, of The Dr. Drew and Adam Book: A Survival Guide to Life and Love.

In his newest book, Cracked: Putting Broken Lives Together Again, Pinsky shares stories from his daily struggle to help people overcome their preferred habit of self-destruction.

Pinsky's website, drdrew.com, is a comprehensive and interactive health and lifestyle website specifically designed for young people between the ages of 14 and 34.

A frequent guest on The View, Good Morning America, and other national television shows, he has been profiled for Time, Newsweek, and Premiere. He lives in Southern California with his wife, Susan, and their triplets.
