Dwight D. Im, MD, FACOG is Associate Director of The Gynecologic Oncology
Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. He is board certified in
gynecologic oncology.
A graduate of Princeton University, Im completed his residency at Johns Hopkins
Hospital and fellowship at Hopkins under the tutelage of Dr. Neil B.
Rosenshein, Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Hopkins for 15 years (Dr.
Rosenshein joined Mercy in 1995)
Im's academic appointments include Assistant Professor, Department of
Gynecology and Obstetrics, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; and
Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
University of Maryland. He is certified by the National Board of Medical
Examiners and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Im is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
(Junior Fellow); the Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association;
Mid-Atlantic Gynecologic Oncology Society; and the American Medical
Association.
In addition to his role at Mercy, Im is also on staff at North Arundel
Hospital.
Im has made numerous professional presentations on such topics as cervical and
ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, vaginal lesions, and breast cancer. He
has has many articles and chapters published on such subjects as ultrasonic
surgical techniques, primary lymphoma of the ovary and other issues relative to
reproductive cancers.
