As Assistant Managing Editor at WebMD, Hedy Marks assists in setting the daily news agenda in conjunction with the Managing Editor. Working with staff physicians and journalists, she helps to select, assign, and edit the daily news.
Hedy has worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she co-authored Developmental Disabilities News, created educational materials, and was lead author on a nutrition study submitted for publication. Before coming to WebMD, Hedy worked in CNN's Medical News Department.
Hedy earned her Master of Public Health degree from Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health in 1998.
