Joseph Garcia-Prats, MD, a neonatologist, is professor of pediatrics in the department of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, and he is professor of medical ethics at the Center for Ethics, Medicine, and Public Issues at Baylor College of Medicine. He is the director of the perinatal outreach program at Texas Children's Hospital, and he is deputy medical director of nursery service at Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston. He is the author of What to Do When Your Baby Is Premature; A Parent's Handbook for Coping with High-Risk Pregnancies.
