Kelli Garrison, PharmD, BCPS, is a freelance writer and editor for WebMD. She earned her BS in chemistry and mathematics from Methodist College (1997), her Doctor of Pharmacy (2002) from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and completed a 2-year postgraduate drug information practice residency at MUSC (2004). She maintains her board certification as a pharmacotherapy specialist.
Garrison dedicated 20 years to patient care, formulary management, medication safety, student and resident training, and information technology in several leadership roles and as an adjunct assistant professor. She currently works as an executive independent consultant focusing on the translation between clinical workflows and health care technology and innovation.
