Michele Borba, EdD, is an internationally renowned educator who is recognized for her practical, solution-based parenting strategies to strengthen child's behavior, self-esteem, moral development, and build strong families. A sought-after motivational speaker, she has presented workshops to over 750,000 participants worldwide and has been an educational consultant to hundreds of schools. Her proposal to end school violence (SB1667) was signed into California law in 2002.

Borba frequently appears as a guest expert on television and radio, including NPR talk shows, NBC's The Today Show, CBS's The Early Show, ABC's The View, Fox & Friends, WGN, CBS Chicago, Canada AM, CTV's Vicki Gabereau Show and KTLA-5. She has been interviewed by numerous publications including Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, Child, Parents, Working Mother, Better Homes & Garden, Redbook, Parenting, Chicago Tribune. She serves as an advisory board member for Parents magazine. Borba's numerous awards include the National Educator Award, presented by the National Council of Self-Esteem. 

She is the award-winning author of nineteen books including No More Misbehavin': 38 Difficult Behaviors and How to Stop Them; Building Moral Intelligence, cited by Publishers' Weekly as "among the most noteworthy of 2001"; Parents Do Make A Difference, selected by Child Magazine as "Outstanding Parenting Book of 1999"; and Esteem Builders, used by 1.5 million students worldwide. Her latest book is Don't Give Me that Attitude!: 24 Selfish, Rude Behaviors and How to Stop Them (Jossey Bass/Wiley, 2004). 

Borba is a former teacher and partner in a private practice for troubled youth. She lives in Palm Springs, California with her husband and three sons.
