Robert Beck is a freelance health and medical writer for WebMD.

Beck spent more than 25 years as a producer, writer, and copy editor at CNN and HLN. During his time there, he helped cover a number of major stories including the 2000 presidential election, President Obama’s historic first inauguration, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

He has a communications degree from Michigan State University.
