A recognized leader in the alternative health movement for the past 20 years, Sidney M. Baker, MD, is in private practice and research with an emphasis on nutritional, environmental, and biochemical aspects of chronic health problems in adults and children. The 1999 recipient of the Linus Pauling Award for his contribution to the development of functional medicine, Baker is coordinator of the Autism Database Project for the Autism Research Institute.

Baker is a co-author of Child Behavior and Your Ten-to-Fourteen-Year-Old and the author of Folic Acid and Detoxification and Healing and The Circadian Prescription: Get in Step With Your Body's Natural Rhythms to Maximize Energy, Vitality, and Longevity. A graduate of Yale Medical School, he is board-certified in pediatrics and environmental medicine.
