Shivaun Celano has been in AIDS care for the past 8 years, working for 5 years with the ACTG (AIDS Clinical Trials Group) doing clinical research. For the last 3 years, she has been the manager and clinical pharmacist for the outpatient pharmacy for an HIV clinic at a major clinical hospital. She is also involved in patient education and adherence issues with this clinic.
Her interests primary revolve around her patients and issues related to HIV care and adherence. She enjoys teaching patients, care providers and other health care professionals including other pharmacists. She also likes to read for pleasure and do needlework when time permits, which is rare. Most of all, she likes helping out the needy and disenfranchised.
