Daniel Richard Wynn, MD, FABSM, is the director of clinical research for Consultants in Neurology Ltd., a large, single-specialty group practice in the Chicago area. Wynn is the co-director of Consultants in Neurology Multiple Sclerosis Center, an affiliated center of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Among Wynn's numerous scholarly and professional activities is a focus on research. Wynn has served as principal investigator in more than 65 clinical trials in multiple sclerosis, stroke, pain, headache, epilepsy, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Parkinson's disease, and other areas in neurology.

Wynn is board certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology and EEG, EMG and neuromuscular disease, and an accredited clinical polysomnographer. He has also been certified by the American College of Forensic Examiners. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology as well as Fellow of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, American Board of Sleep Disorders Medicine, American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and American College of Forensic Examiners.

Wynn has affiliations with 14 different hospitals in Illinois alone, and he belongs to numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, and the American Pain Society. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and commentaries in addition to numerous non-reviewed works.  Wynn has also presented at hundreds of national and international lectures, rounds, and seminars.

Wynn received his bachelor's degree in biology at Reed College in 1977 and his MD in medicine at the Chicago Medical School in 1983. He was a resident at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine from 1983-1987, where he studied internal medicine, neurology, EEG, EMG, and sleep disorders medicine. He enjoys an active clinical practice, including serving as medical director of a major professional sports franchise.
