Luvox has been the only medication that gave me a chance against OCD. I have taken it for the past 8 years. It has been a life saver.

My daughter has been taking 100 mg Luvox for about 6 weeks. Now, the Ritalin she has been taking for 2 years no longer works. I was wondering if any anyone else has experienced this issue.

Was prescribed for depression, but after I started taking it I notice some compulsions I had never disclosed to anyone, just went away. Hurray. May have reduced my libido, though

Works great for my OCD but I have severe headaches and dizziness. I still take it because dealing with the physical discomfort is easier than dealing with the emotional discomfort.

I diagnosed with OCD when I was just about 12 years old. After struggling to find the right solution, I ended up with Luvox. It really helps with the obsessive thoughts and makes resisting the compulsion easier. I've been on almost every OCD medication there is and this has worked the best. It does tend to make me tired though, but for what it does it is tolerable. Getting there was the problem with severe relapses between med changes. If you find a drug that works, really consider how hard your working before switching if you think it's not doing enough because that drug is only a tool for recovery and can't do all the work. There is no drug that will totally remove OCD without hard work from the afflicted.Read More Read Less
