I have been taking 2 naproxen twice a day for a couple of years with very good pain relief. Cardiologist now recommends I stop or alternate with Tylenol. Two weeks in and I am miserable . 67 years old, female, retired nurse. Kidney and hepatic tests are normal. I'm going back to what works.

I have taken this drug at different times for different types of pain. I can't take ibuprofen anymore because it is very hard on my stomach. Tylenol type pain relievers don't help me much so I have tried the naproxen. It is pretty effective at relieving moderate pain and reducing more heavy pain. Each time that I've had to take it for more than one day I get heart palpitations that get worse an...

I have Dysmenorrhea, and Naproxen Sodium is the only medicine that has been able to keep me from throwing up, loosing weight, or missing important events. I have tried Ibuprofen, Aleeve, and Tylenol, but none of those work. Thank God for Naproxen!

Other NSAID's and pain relievers were either ineffective or resulted in some type of side-effect (usually upset stomach). Naproxen sodium has always quickly greatly reduced or eliminated my muscle pain or headache with no side-effects. For those that deal with neck and shoulder pain in particular, as I do, either from overuse or stress, naproxen sodium will likely benefit you more than others.

Caused severe outbreak of hives/skin rash which even with steroids is horrible two weeks after I stopped taking Naproxen. I am diabetic and the steroids are causing me to have difficulty controlling my blood sugar which gets as high as 500. My endocrinologist says the steroid cause resistance to insulin. But I itch and break out so severely all over my body that I cannot stand it. The doctors say it may takes months for the Naproxen induced reaction to exit my body.

I have inflemation of the covering of the left hand tendon and L5 herniation. I felt immediate relief from day 1 without the feeling of being drugged so that I can function normally. I do not want to be on this med for a long period so I will update this review as I near the end of use.

I use this every time I'm on my period and it works very well. Without it I wouldn't be able to function, because of the pain. It really does last 8 hours or more, and takes away almost all of the pain.

Dr. prescribed(220mg x 2 day)following knee surgery for a torn Meniscus to help with pain and inflamation. Helps reduce inflamation and pain somewhat but not very much. Going on 5 months use with no end in sight. Worried about long term effects.

I take this for an inflamed tendon in my left foot. The nurse said to take it 12 hours apart with foos and water. That has made a big difference in how my body accepts the med. I have been taking it for 1.5 weeks and it helps with the pain and inflammation, but has not helped me get rid of the problem (I guess it is a matter time to heal).

just started taking this drug after having laproscopic surgery for massive (and large/bleeding) uterine fibroibs. Its only been two days, and it seems to work fine as long as I take it twice a day as the pain isn't just during cycles, but daily. So far, it works but makes me severely sleepy. Not good when you have to work.

This medication caused stomach irritation. It helped the pain problem, but the side effect was definitely not worth it.
