I am so surprised reading these reviews, I had an infection in my tooth, took it as directed. I took with food and lots of water, had probiotic yogurt eat healthy no issues, Please read directions and do not take on an empty stomach. Stay Well

Used for infection in my toe after cephalexin didn't work and a sulfa gave me a systemic rash. Take high quality probiotic with it (not drug store brand) and you will negate any side-effects. Important as this antibiotic can cause c. difficile. I had zero gastro side effects because I took the probiotic (bio-k)

Where do I start this drug has nearly killed me. At first it started with severe anxiety, chest pain and indigestion. Then a few days later severe pain in my rectum like I needed the toilet constantly. Doctor told me to keep taking and I did. Constant stabbing pain in liver area sometimes kidneys. 2 days before I finished the course I got a huge rash all over my body severe itching, tremors, tingling in face, red face and problems breathing. Staph infection on the toe that went into the bone. Taking pre-op has had no side effects. I do eat a lot of plain yogurt and take probiotics anyway. Also, I take with food and water.

Taking this medication, I got clostridium difficile infection. Also I did not have a staph infection, when thatâ??s what the doctor prescribed it for. When I called them my results were negative and I was still told to finish the dosage. I woke up at 7 am and had diarrhea with pure blood in it. My heart rate was spiked and I had the worst stomach pain of my life, using the toilet every 15 minutes. I did not eat anything but water, saltine crackers anf bananas for 21 days. It was the worst experience of my life. I lost 18 pounds and would get winded walking to the shower. I attempted to list this as an allergy but was not allowed but I can let anyone know I will never take this antibiotic ever again. It is horrible, and could have killed me especially for a negative result. Do your research. I still suffer from post- infectious IBS, and cannot eat greasy foods, 100% meat, buffalo sauce, or coffee. I have not had any of that for a year. I donâ??t recommend this at ALL. 2 weeks later I got C DIFF they should take this off the market . As I know 3 other people had gotten this after using this drug!! Stay away !! Even more sick then I was before !

Like many of the others commenting, it woke me up at 2am with nausea heart burn and very uncomfortable. I am going to call doc in morning. I need something else. After reading so many reviews like mine why isn't there another treatment. I started researching it this morning online because I was wondering if it was the drug making me ill or something else. Apparently it is the drugh.

After 3 days on the medication had to stop - bad reflux and sores in my mouth. Constant feeling like I was coming down with the flu.

I was given the medication for an abscess that had to be drained. It seems to be helping, but it gives me diarrhea which is getting worse. I'm going to try to stick it out as I only have 3 more days to go.

I have so much anxiety after reading the reviews with this medication and didn't want to take it. I bought some bio Salud protein shots at Walmart for a dollar and drink it a couple hours before I take the medicine plus I eat before I take it. So far I haven't had much side effects just a light headache off and on. I don't do well with meds and this isn't bad. Take with food n probiotics and you should be good.

I have been taking clindamycin 300mg for five days now, 4 times a day. I've been feeling a bit off each day, some lightheadedness, and yesterday I went to bed early because I just didn't feel well. This morning I had trouble getting a good breath. I thought the medicine wasn't doing much to clear up the infection. As the day wore on, though, I felt better able to breathe. I took another capsule about a half hour ago and experienced the worst heartburn I've ever had. It burned from mid-chest down into my stomach, even though I drank an entire 20 oz. bottle of water. I followed that with some yogurt, which seems to have helped some, but I can still a roving discomfort from my throat to my stomach. And now I'm having worse trouble breathing than I did this morning. I hate to quit the antibiotics, because I know that taking the full course is important. But they are affecting my breathing. I was given this medication for a very bad tooth abscess. I was a little hesitant to take them by reading all of the other reviews but now I'm so glad I did. I feel 100% better. I took them with food and lots of water. I also took a probiotic every day. I have not experienced any of the bad side effects, thank God.

Absessed tooth. Must drink at least a fullglass of water with it. Works good.

Upset stomach and diarrhea but other than that worked well and went down easy! Had to take this after being bitten by a brown recluse

I get heartburn after I take it. After 3rd day I felt nauseated. After the 4th day I felt i felt nauseated longer.

This drug should be evaluated by the FDA. The side effects are horrible and in my case lead to C-Diff. It destroys the good bacteria in your gut and the bad takes over. Horrible flu symptoms, dirreha, stomach problems. BEWARE!! Takes weeks to recover from the side effects, they are worse than my orginal problem..unacceptable!!! Plus the c-diff can reoccur and antibotic treatment is limited due to the effects of climdamycin.

Causes C-diff. Stay away from it!!!!!
