I have been taking the lower dose pill of Indapamide for over 5 yrs. with good results and no problems. I am sure to eat plenty of vegetables to keep potassium levels up, and usually drink a small can of low sodium V-8 which is very high in potassium.

Been on this medicine for 1 week. Tremendous leg and back pain, worse at night. Not helping my BP much. Don't know if I will continue taking it or not as I am having trouble walking.

About 2 hrs. after taking the drug, my husband gets a crushing pain across his shoulders and neck and he feels weak and light-headed. This can last from 10 mins. to half a day. It really alters his quality of life but his doctor doesn't want to change it.

Lowered BP to normal levels. Very Good. After six months use found that by blood sugar level had gone up, so I have been taken off this treatment.

Amazing capability in lowering BP. Absolutely preferable to any Thiazide. Thiazides increase weight, LDL, TRIG, ...much more which you can never recover from. Drains most of potassium so need K supplements plus Spironolactone. 1.25 mg/d drops my systolic bp by 6 mmHg. I am taking 2.5 mg/d.
