I take it for Crohn's Disease. I take it I know before eating a meal that will cause me problems. I have used the medication for over 15 years and I am very please with the results.

HELLO I HAVE A KINK IN MY INTESTINE THAT CAUSES SEVERE STABBING PAINS.I TAKE THIS MEDICATION 3 TIMES A DAY UNDER MY TONGUE. IT TRULY TAKES AWAY MOST OF THE DISCOMFORT THAT I HAVE FROM THE KINK IN MY COLON. I HAVE ONLY BEEN ON THIS MED ABOUT A WEEK AND I ALREADY FEEL SOMEWHAT BETTER.I TOLD MY DOCTOR THAT I WANTED TO TRY SOMETHING OTHER THAN NARCOTIC PAIN MEDICINE FOR THE TROUBLE IN MY INTESTINE AND SHE SUGGESTED TO TRY THE HYOSYCLOMINE. These SL tablets allow me to eat out, or eat with friends with a much lower amount of concern over embarrassing runs to the restroom after or excruciating pain at a very inconvenient time. It works immediately and is the easiest med to take that I've ever had. A high fiber diet w/lots of water is still the #1 preventative for my IBS attacks but this med helps me control when diet alone doesn't work.
