I've had UC for 13 years and would have a flare-up twice a year for 2 to 3 months at a time, every year! (seasonal) This drug has gotten me off Prednisone which I loved too but wasn't healthy for me. My doctor gave me this drug and I love it! I've been in remission for the first time since I started this drug. I take 50mg daily and I have no side effects and I have my life back!!!!

Have been on 150mg a day for almost two years. Taking with sulfasalazine and have not had any flare-ups with my ulcerative colitus. I am concerned about whether I should have a shingles shot. Have had flu shots with no problem.

I've just started this med. but so far so good in reducing the pain and the pay off is getting off the prednisone soon. Some weird side efefcts though - jaw pain/pressure and mouth sores?

This is the first medince that I've received any long lasting relief from. I can at last walk up stairs without being totally exhausted by the time I got to the top. Has really helped with the inflammation.

Only been taking for 2 months, also taking prednisone which has not been completly effective. Symptoms are better but I'm still not where I should be according to my neuologist. I've been so tired but is that from the disease or the drug? Started to feel upper right quadrant pain for about a month am afraid it may be affecting liver as listed in side effects, maybe it's just all in my head but I never had such a pain before. we'll see.

I have not been on the drug long enough yet to give an opionion,I was very scared of this drug because of the side affects, so I think I will be looking for 'reasons not to take it' feeling a little sick all day and it has curbed my appitite, as I had gained 2 stone in weight from the prednisone, which I am still taking as well.

150mg/day for Chron's disease. First couple of months, had nausea and symptoms of Chron's hadn't lessened. Two years in, almost all symptoms are in remission. Used in combination with Colazal.

This medication made me very, very sick. I vomited constantly, had trouble breathing & consequently went into A-Fib. Doing better now, but stopped taking the med. I was treated for the A-Fib by shock. My daughter who has Crohn's suffered the same symptoms & stopped taking the med.

This drug has brought me out of an 18 month cycle of steroids into remission now for 6 months. The first four months on this drug were really difficult as they caused nausea constantly. Blood tests have been fine with therapeutic range in white cells.

I have discoid lupus. The anti-malarials didn't work but this drug is working fine and so side effects (notable) even though I take it 3 times a day with prednisone.
