About 3 months ago I decided I wanted to go on birth control. I went to a doctor and talked about my options, because I have migraines with aura, but I just decided to go with the pill and see if it gave me any headaches. The week leading up to when I was going to start my first pack, I made the mistake of searching reviews online. I really think everyone flocks to the internet to complain abou...

22yrs old,1st time on b.c. of any sort.Going on 3rd wk on pill.1st wk there were hardly any symptoms.End of 2nd wk/beginning of 3rd noticed slight early morning nausea(only vomited once so far),really tender/sore/swollen breasts(the bf seems to love),increased moodiness/very emotional during wk2 of pill(unlikely for me&it scared my bf at 1st but its def.the pill),insane cravings for certain foods(ice cream&fatty foods which I normally dont eat as much),very light/faint spotting wk2,slight lower abdomen pain wk2&3,headaches(not severe) some days wk2/3,slight fatiguesex drive wasnt affected,no acne/no weight gain(fortunately I loose weight fastm so eating unhealthy from time to time doesnt hurt me much),lower back pain(but could be bc my period is around the corner),feeling really bloated/gas/constipation(way more than before-could be b/c of fatty/dairy foods Im eating/cravings,Irritable bowel syndrome or if u have any stomach problems or pill not sure yet. So far the pill isnt too bad.Occasional bloating, slight headache, slight morning nasea nothing untolerable for me. I need to continue for next 3 months&see what happens.Every woman responds differently remember that.Read More Read Less

This is the BEST birth control I have ever taken. I was really suprised to see all the bad reviews but I guess people who are unsatisfied with something are more likely to write a review or feel the need to do so. Like I said, this is the best pill I have taken yet. This is my fifth month and I am loving it. I do have a bit of breast tenderness but that is the only side effect. My periods are down to 1 day! I also have very little cramping. That is a big plus because I have always had terrible cramping. I would definitely recommend this pill.Read More Read Less

I have very good control over my emotions but this pill made me insanely depressed and irritable. Definitely decreased my sex drive. Really bad headaches for the first 3 days, then mild ones every day after. Breasts are larger, but that might be because of weight gain.

I love this pill. I'm on my 5th month. The first month was rough because I had spotting the whole month. It is so much better now, plus I gained a full cup size (WOOHOO!)

I am 21 years old and have been on Sronyx for about 3 months now. I use to have an IUD but that was giving me complications, so I switched to the pill. In the past 3 months I have gained over 30 POUNDS! and suffered from headaches daily and vomiting. I at first just thought it was the transition between the IUD to the pill, but it has not let up at all. I am going to my dr. on Monday to switch my pill.My diet has not changed at all still eat the same amount as before so I know its not that. I never EVER weighed this much in my LIFE not even when I was pregnant! I WOULD NOT take this pill again!Read More Read Less

I am 33, I began this pill 3 wks ago because my usual one was being discontinued by my doctor. I have had nausea, vomiting and severe migraines every day and it has not let up at all. I will not continue taking this pill.

Very good pill! I was on Cyclessa before this one and had alot of bad side effects. Once I switched, I noticed that I was back to normal again. Sronyx is great, I have no complaints about it. I feel like myself again.

Taking this drug for the past six months has been the worst six months I have ever had. I usually recieve Alesse or Aviane. For some reason I was given Sronyx, maybe they were out of the other two types of Birth control pills. I am back taking Aviane and all my symptoms have disappreared. The symptoms were: 1st week of taking the pill-my stomach felt like it was being pushed out from the inside. My stomach felt hard and painful. Second week: cramps and spotting. Third week: Massive headaches, frequent urination. Week of my period - very painful cramps, lower back pain, bleeding with clots. All these symptoms came like clockwork. Every month that I was on Sronyx.Read More Read Less

I have been taking this pill for almost 2 years now and honestly I don't have many complaints about it. It does its job and I haven't gotten pregnant which is my biggest concern. I did notice a little weight gain, but it was very easy to work off so I'm thinking it was probably just water weight. The thing I don't like about this pill is it doesn't help with my acne or my PMS. My face is constantly broken out and gets worse when I'm on my period and during my period my mood swings are crazy, but it only lasts a few days. I do notice that my periods are shorter and I don't have horrible cramps. Like I said all in all I'm satisfied with this pill because it does what it is supposed too. My doctor prescribed me Yaz, to help with my acne, but after reading the reviews about it I honestly think I'm just going to stick with Sronyx. Hope this helps... Read More Read Less

I've been taking this pill for over 2 yrs. Periods are always light and always start on Tues afternoons. No weight gain or increase in breast size. I've thought that my severe moods swings during PMS week were just me but now that I've read everyone else's review, I'm starting to question. I will continue to use.

I have only been on this pill for a week and have already experienced the most uncomfortable side effect of all!!! Yeast infection!!!! I just recently was taking Yaz which worked really well for me, not one side effect! But had to switch to a new Dr. who works under state funding and don't provide Yaz. I have an appointment this week and I am going to beg for another brand of B.C pills. This is rediculous to have this type of complicaton in one week. I'm 28 years old and have been on the pill since I was 16. This has never happened. This may work for some but not for me. Good luck out there.Read More Read Less

I'm 19 and I've been taking the pill for 5 months. The 1st month I was REALLY moody and my period lasted about 3 weeks(light spotting it was annoying). After that it was fine. I ALWAYS get my period on Tuesdays. I didn't gain any weight (not even in my boobs). I had unprotected sex MANY TIMES and I'm not pregnant! Which was what i was going for. My biggest vice about this pill was hair loss. I went to the doctor and I didn't know if it was from stress or diet change or the pill, but it certainly got worse. My hair was pretty thin to begin with it just got worse. Now it's not too bad.Read More Read Less

the first couple days i took this pill i was a little nauseated and emotional, but after a week or so i felt fine. i lost a few pounds and my boobs got a little bigger. there was some spotting towards the end of the third week but i'm thinking that is normal because its the first time i've been on birthcontrol. i would recommend it so far.

Ah this pill is horid, my breast hurt for weeks before my period and my face is breaking out like crazy. I've been on over 15 different kinds of birth controls and frankly this is by far the worst.. I really liked Yaz but my insurance sucks and its too expensive.. but everyone this birth control is horriable try to find a differnt kind!

i've been on this pill for 5 mths and I can't stand it and want to get switched asap - it has increased my moodiness to the point where I scream at my husband or baby at the littlest thing - I feel so angry and annoyed at everything and then I get really depressed and can't stop crying. It's just gotten worse the longer I have taken it.

I was on the depo shot for 2 years and decided to switch to the pill. I was very hormonal, even to the point of depression and suicidal. It never made my period any better, and on the 3rd month, I never even got it(im not pregnant). I also got migraines which I have never had before. I switched on the 3rd month of using it.

Been on for 5 months now. Easy to skip if its not right in front of you in the morning. But in all shorted my period, gained 1/2 a cup size (yes!), and have regular periods....No monthly surprises! all in all good meds!
