My experience with this drug has been phenomenal. I have seen it work in as little as two weeks. Of course with all new acne medications, it makes your skin worse before it gets better. I would say that after the first week, my skin started to really clear up quite nicely. I would recommend this product to anyone. As far as eating something with this medication, i have not felt any side effects of...

Was on this medication for a week until I got a VERY painful yeast infection followed by severe diaherria. I ended up going to the hospital where I needed IV for the dehydration and I ended up having a UTI as well. I've never had a yeast infection or UTI prior to taking this medication, so I'm assuming this was the cause. Stopped taking it. I would say my skin "glowed" a little more and felt much ...

I've never had a yeast infection or UTI prior to taking this medication, so I'm assuming this was the cause. Stopped taking it. I would say my skin "glowed" a little more and felt much softer. But the little acne bumps didn't change much. I took it with a meal to avoid nausea & I put sunscreen every day to avoid the sun burn that everyone talked abot.Read More Read Less

This drug made me nauseous, even with food. It made me horribly dizzy. I had to lay in bed for hours and not lift my head. I only took two pills. I will never take this med again!. It did clear up my itchy neck rash a bit. Can feel a yeast infection coming on. I need to take pro biotics. Awful side effects! Not worth it!

An insect bit me and caused a terrible, ugly rash. Doc said it was staph and put me on this drug. I was told not to take herbal meds, iron pills, etc and that I would burn if in the sun. I have several more pills to take, but I am stopping since y sister read the side affects to me. I have experienced dizziness, burning in my stomach, nausea, skin will burn while walking to mailbox, and headaches--all I had was a rash. The rash is slowly clearing up, but I am also using a strong OTC benadryl cream on it.Read More Read Less

I am taking this medication due to an emburied tick removal from my back that was infected. 4 days into treatment, I have had no side effects and infection seems to get better each day on a 7 day treatment plan.

I usually take this with food but on the few times it was taken without food it resulted in a very upset stomach/very nauseous feeling.

This worked alright. It helped my skin overall look clearer, but it comes and goes in waves. Sometimes it's bad again and other times it's pretty good. I took it on an empty stomach one morning and it made me pretty nauseous.

Holy Crap. These is some serious stuff. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease after the doctor ran a boatload of tests for my fatigue. All I had was fatigue and recognized the cognitive symptoms after he mentioned them. I was given a 3 week regimen for it. Worst 3 weeks of my life. They told me to take it with food because it would upset my stomach. First dose I took it without food and vomited an hour later. What they neglected to tell me is that you can't take antacids, or have dairy with it. You can't use the too most common ways to treat nausea while taking a pill that makes you severely nauseous. I tried taking it with food. Horrible nausea all day. Lost almost all interest in food. Tried ginger supplements. Still nauseous but not as bad. Burped up ginger for three weeks was nauseous every morning for 7 months AFTER. I'm sure the Lyme disease is probably gone but I wish I had taken something else. Take it with food.Read More Read Less

I absolutely hate antibiotics, and I see the microbiome as utterly important to protect, but I took this for 3 weeks for what I think was lyme-related arthritis and, after getting worse for about a week at the end of the 3 weeks, was then completely gone. Plus, my TMJ problems were gone, my breathing problems were gone, my hives were gone. I tested negative for lyme in the end, but there was definitely something in my body that needed to be killed off. I did end up with a bacterial vaginosis from this, but took care of it with probiotics. Also, like other antibiotics, it really upset my stomach and digestive system. It's powerful, which is great if you really need it and not great if you don't.Read More Read Less

I think it did help somewhat, but the side effects, for me, were too strong. I had strong metallic taste in my mouth after one day and nausea. By the second day I already felt a yeast infection coming on, as well as what i believe was the start of Thrush in my mouth. As i am susceptible to yeast infections while taking any brand of antibiotic, the Dr prescribed Diflucan, so i decided it was time to take that. So, my opinion is it's a strong drug. I believe it did help while i was taking it but the side effects too much for me. After taking for two days total (4 doses) I had to discontinue.Read More Read Less

This med along with tetracycline caused greying and thinning of teeth over time. It was very good at controlling the outbreaks and pustules. Never had this med as a child. Only in my 40's. I would never recommend this for long term use to control rosacea. Two dentists have confirmed issue and recommended staying away from these oral meds.

I am allergic to pencillin and sulfa drugs and the doctor I had prescribed this medication which sent me to the hospital with a severe allergic reaction. I have the meds I am allergic to in my medical records, if the doctor had bothered to look at them.

I was one of the rare people to experience severe side effects from this drug. Having to have procedures done on my intestine to fix the damages. Make sure to read all warnings because it does happen.

Took for symptoms of Lyme disease. The symptoms began to improve right away. However, the side effects were awful. I felt awful after every dose, and awful after meals. I could only tolerate certain foods while on this medication. I got intense sunburn. In the end it caused iron (and possibly other vitamin) deficiency, but it worked for the Lyme. I would not recommend this drug for just anything. It's intense.

Was prescribed 100mg 2x/day. Worked very well. Read that a 30mg was also effective. Rather than switch the strength, I began taking 100mg only once a day. Still effective. Then I tried every other day. Unsuccessful. What has worked for me is taking it on Saturday/Sunday and on Tuesday/Thursday - 4x/week. Cheap but effective.

I took one pill a day with food and had mild stomach pains and nausea when first taking this. After a week or so, it went away. Now I'm two months into it and had to stop as I started feeling very nauseous, was dizzy, vomited, and had diarrhea. I've been off of it for over a week now and still feel constantly nauseous and dizzy. Saw some improvement with my acne but not enough to be worth feeling like this..

Joint pain and extreme fatigue were almost gone after taking 4 doses. Took it almost 20 years ago for the same tick born illness and was amazed at how fast it works in relieving my symptoms.
