I had a sinus infection, I usually get one sinus infection a year now that I am getting older. This medication helps; the first couple of days were fine, around the 3rd day that I was taking this, I started getting a "metal" taste in my mouth. Tastes like I have been chewing on an aluminum can. I can't find anything to get rid of the taste; brushing, flossing & mouthwash haven't helped. I only hav...
The side effects of this medicine are horrific. The bad taste in the mouth is just awful. Nothing I have tried can remove it. Mood swings are almost violent. It's also affecting my ability to think and reason. Lastly, it makes you tired, but doesn't let you sleep. The only positive thing I can say is that within a day, I have started feeling better. With so many other effective forms of pen...

The worst thing about this medicine is the nausea that it caused immediately. If I continued to put food in my stomach it seemed to help. The metal taste came about the third day. Still having some coughing after completing the cycle of medication.

(taking for strep / respiratory infection)- my condition has improved for the reasons I started the drug, but the last two nights have been terrible with a really nasty taste in my mouth. I never reviewed a drug before, but I had to check this out. I'm finding a lot of people have this problem. nothing takes the taste away- I've tried everything. I've been on it for two days and hope it doesn't get any worse because it keeps me up at night - so gross.

I had a tic bite infection and took this medication. It seems to work but the side effects were uncomfortable, such as stomach ache and the feeling of vomiting at any moment.

Usually I do not recieve any side affects from any medication that I take but, every acute sideaffect I have. I taste of the pill will not leave my mouth, which in turn makes we vomit. Also the drug seems to be not curing my double ear infection.

I have already tried amoxicillin and antihistamines. This antibiotic seems to be working and clearing up the blood and pain. I am delighted.

Taken for chronic sinusitus, with a loss of sense of smell and taste. Didn't experience the bad taste, but more of a severe burning in the mouth, and especially the tongue. Helped condition somewhat.

It left a horrible taste in my mouth that would wake me up during the night several times. Would request a different drug if my doctor prescribes this one again.

I'm on day 7 of my 10 day program and the metal taste is absolutely nasty. It's not coming up from the stomach, it's right in your saliva. euuuuu. I don't feel anywhere near cured yet. I still have a deep fog horn cough. I was hoping for better results from this medication

I agree about the taste issue. I am taking it for pneumonia (I guessed which kind as the dr. did not specify). Interestingly, the pill has a minty coating which may be to mask the horrid taste. I noticed it within hours after the first dose. If you only have to take this drug once daily, I recommend taking it with your last meal or snack before bed. I noticed when I did this, the taste was gone by noon the following day.
