I feel better than in the past. Now my sister is on the same medicine. Hopefully it will work for her as well.

Had been on Wellbutrin XL 2 yrs ago and did very well; no side effects. This time, insurance (lovely) insisted on the generic Budeprion XL. This is the 2nd week I'm still on it. The side effects are HORRIBLE: severe dizziness, confusion, headaches, rapid heart beat, and flushing. These come & go, never know when they might hit; had made driving hazardous. I'm fighting with insurance today...if they want me in the hospital, they can keep insisting on the generic; allow the brand name & save themselves thousands! I'm stopping the generic on my own. I would HIGHLY caution anyone who might be prescribed this to reconsider, find possible alternatives.Read More Read Less

has side effect of dizziness for me..did not experience with Welbutrin XL..

I have been on this medication for about two years and my husband has been on it for about one year. Neither of us have had any complications. The weight I had gained with other depression medications is now gone. This is definitely a plus since the weight gain was not helping my depression at all.

I had been taking Lexapro for anxiety and depression for 6 months. It worked well for me but after a while I didn't have any emotions and I could not feel empathy for people. I had also gained 20 lbs instantly on Lexapro. I went off Lexapro which is killer to do by the way. After 3 months I felt I still needed something. I did my research and went back to my Dr. and we both agreed on Wellbutrin XL. I had lost most of the weight I had gained from the Lexapro after going off of it and I am still losing weight while being on Wellbutrin XL. I feel it is taking the edge off me while still being able to have empathy and have feelings while still keeping them in line. My experience on Budeprion XL was horrible. At first I thought I just had to get used to it. I felt dizzy and nauseous all the time. After a week on it, though I had a very scary experience while driving. My heart began to race, my legs got really cold and I felt a stingy sensation in my chest. I was in the hospital for two days. I prefer the depression over taking this anti-depressant.

I started taking this about a couple of weeks ago. The first day I took it I felt a little sick to my stomach and was a little dizzy. After the first day everything was pretty good. My husband has notice that my mood has gotten better. Furthermore, I have more energy. It does suppress my appetite, which is a good thing for me since I am trying to lose weight. The main down side for me is that it causes me to become constipated, but I would rather have that than depression any day.

First time ever to take medication for what my doctor thinks is mild depression. absolutaley awful. strange metalic taste in the mouth, I've taken it for two weeks and had thoughts of suicide !!, anger out of control, want to cry and don't know why *( I guess i do now ). facial ticks, sore muscles, nausea...this stuff is evil.

I HAD MOOD SWINGS AND WAS VERY EASY TO BE ANGER. I DID NOT HAVE THIS WITH WELLBUTRIN XL.

I have noitced i am getting angry very quickly losing my cool over nothing since i have switched from wellbutrin XL to budeprion XL I never felt like this on wellbutrin..

I had been taking Bupropion XL substitute for Wellbutrin XL. It had not been working. My doctor lowered my dose and the pharmacy (again) gave me generic for Wellbutrin. This time Budeprion XL. This was even worse!!! I have been extremely irritable and angry! I am glad that I looked up the reviews for Budeprion, I thought I was loosing my mind. I am not going to take generics when it comes to my anti depressants. It's worse for me to go through the side affects with the generics!

I was taking Wellbutrin XL 150 and switched to Budeprion XL 150 made by TEVA since it was the cheaper generic. I have been taking Wellbutrin for 7 years with excellent results. One week after taking the Budeprion I noticed irritability, impulsiveness and couldn't get along with anyone! Definitely not the same drug. I thought that it was just me, but it seems a lot of others have experienced the same negative side effects. For me this drug does not work so I will return to the more expensive Wellbutrin XL. I am sure there are exceptionn but for the majority it seems that the Budeprion either does not work or makes ADHD symptoms worse.Read More Read Less

I am still taking it but it is the most effective stop smoking aid I have used so far.

I have been on Budeprion XL 150 mg nearly two weeks. Major muscle aches, allergic reaction severe rash, itching, (swelling in my ankles and legs. Years ago I was on Wellbutrin (not generic) and was fine. I do not recommend Budeprion XL. generic

I have been on Budeprion XL 150 MG for a little over a week, I am now convinced after process of elimination that it is the meds.. for 4 days now I have hives/rash on my legs and arms, bumps on my upper chest with redness and itching. In addition, I have swelling in my and ankles and hands. My skin feels tingly, tight, very itchy. All my doctor said was to quit taking it. Prior to this I was on Lexapro and gained 20 lbs very rapidly and was always exhausted.

After being on Wellbutrin for 4 years, I was forced to the generic. I darn near lost it within a few days of switching. Keep in mind, I've missed my medication for a week at a time and been fine. I switched to a different dosing to get back to the name brand. Once that went generic, a friend found out different manufacturers of the generic. While the one made by Teva Pharm didn't work, I changed to a different generic named Bupropion ER by Anchen and it works exactly as my Wellbutrin did. I've not had a problem since. Do research across the 'net to find the problem generics and call pharmacies until you find the ones with less reported side effects.Read More Read Less

My doctor switched me from effexor to this medicine because of my complaint about gaining weight. This medicine gave me many side effects including headaches, nausea, dizziness, coating on my tongue. I felt terrible on this medicine, and want to switch back to effexor. The weight gain was easier to deal with if i am going to feel as sick as I did on this medicine.

Difficult to swallow, double the Rx strength (to get generic price for Wellbutrin XL 150), constant downer mood. Prefer Bupropion XL 300 split.
