I was on metformin for 4 years, and it worked to regulate my weight and numbers as long as I was careful about what I ate, which, according to my doctor, I didn't do well enough. He switched me to janumet, and I lost 40 lbs in 6 months. Weight just started melting off because I only crave yogurt and granola bars. No more cokes, fast food, sweets, and I don't even miss them. This has been a miracle...

My Blood Glucose levels had started to rise when I only taking Metformen. My doctor switched me to Janumet, what a wonderful change. My A1c is now below 7 (6.7) at last testing. I have found that if you take this drug with food, it works far better than just taking it on an empty stomach.

Very happy with Janumet! I did have a few side effects the first few days with stomach upset, but my blood sugar levels are good. I'm looking forward to the weight loss.

I have been on Janumet for about a week. My Doctor changed my meds after Metformin was no longer controlling my blood sugar. With Janumet, I feel better and I'm looking forward to all the benefits this new drug and bring.

i am not diabetic thankfully, but was prescribed this drug because of my overactive hormones. It is decreasing the amount of testosterone in my system. When I was first tested, my doctor told me my level was at 117, and the normal testosterone level for a woman is 70. I don't know my new number and it has been a few months now, but there is a significant decrease in the amount of body/facial hair now. I have also lost weight as well, so I am very pleased with this medication.

I was switcheg from Metaformin to Janumet for better sugar control. It is working better for Glucose Control but it has created severe itching and allergic reaction on my skin.It does create a greater shortness of breath that Metaformin did.

Was great for bringing my blood sugar down. First medicine I've taken that resulted in severe gastrointestinal problems. Had to stop taking after 3 weeks. Am now on Januvia with no side effects.

I have been taking janumet for about a month. My average fasting blood sugar has also risen by approximately 40 to 50 points. I do believe a slight weight loss has begun due to not processing as much blood sugar into unneeded energy and eventually fat. To counter this, I have upped my intake of a supplement called Super Citrimax which contains niacin bound chromium. While this supplement is by no means a cure-all, it has helped me. I had been on Avandia, have no signs of heart disease, but my doctor switched me to Janumet because he felt it to be "something stronger". At my next appointment, perhaps sooner, I am going to ask to switch back to Avandia because it works better for me.Read More Read Less

It is a one pill a day regimen so it is very easy to take. I've had no side effects and my blood sugar has come down into normal limits.
